BLOGS
Blogs, the fascinating submissions on PlanetMinecraft. Some are guides, some are art and some are absolute rubbish made by level-hungry six year olds. In this blog, however, I will teach you how to make a blog that looks nice, how to avoid destroying the English language as well as other useful tips. The guide will be split into sections which will include a few paragraphs talking about it.
ART
Art, namely the logo of your blog and using pictures to display sections.
First I'm going to discuss the logo/avatar of your blog and I can sum it up pretty quickly. Do not use low quality pictures you found by typing in "minecraft" on the internet. The amount of blogs you and I can see is too much; it's not necessary. Whatever you're making the blog for, whether its for fame, levels and xp or it's just trying to help people. You'll never accomplish your goals with no proper way of showing your blog. This is why I suggest making your own. If you can't do that, ask someone else to make it from the forums or maybe a friend.
Make sure it's eyecatching, professional and relates to your blog. Otherwise it's another random picture. Also try to avoid a simple background with some text placed over it.
Secondly, I'd like to speak about using pictures as headings and sub-headings.
You can use art or normal text, it doesn't matter. Using text is absolutely fine as long as you use it in the right way. I would recommend a sort of bright colour, but not too bright that you can't read it on the white background. A large font is also good as well as using th bold feature. This can either create a heading that looks alright or on that looks horrible, but hopefully it will look nice and slick.
Another way is by making your own images to use as headings. I would only reccomend this if you are skilled in photoshop or another image-editing/making programme. Like the last, this can create good or bad. Another note, make sure all images use the same font, background and text size unless intended.
IDEAS
The idea of the blog - guide, interview, art etc. - may only come from you yourself. Your own ideas are the greatest and they will make better blogs than straight up copying somebody. I'm unable to give you ideas so just dwell upon it, maybe brainstorm and choose one from there.
OTHER NOTES
Some other things to take into consideration:
Only post with correct grammar, maybe write your blog in a word document first to use the spellcheck.
Don't post a guide with only a few lines in it; that's completely pointless.
And that is it, really. If you really want to, comment about how you make your guides and all that jazz that everyone says.

I suppose the logo for this blog is intentionally disregarding this advice?
