The All England Lawn Tennis Club has announced its inaugural official esports tournament, the Wimbledon eChamps, in partnership with American Express. This event marks the debut of TopSpin 2K25 in tennis esports, with registration now open and qualifying matches starting this weekend on July 6.
The eChamps will start with open qualifiers, giving eligible TopSpin 2K25 players a chance to climb the rankings and qualify for the live finals at Wimbledon in September. The qualifiers will take place in four European countries and North America, covering the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Canada, and the US.
Qualifiers will compete at the prestigious Wimbledon, with the finals held in the Media Theatre. The winner will be crowned the first-ever Wimbledon eChampion and earn an all-expenses-paid trip to the 2025 Gentlemen’s Singles Final. Additionally, they will receive a gold-plated PlayStation 5 console, engraved with their name and achievement by Wimbledon’s official engraver.
