MLB The Show 24 Patch #13 Adds Willie Mays Storyline, Rickwood Field, LA Dodgers City Connect Uniforms - Patch Notes

MLB The Show 24 game update 13 (aka patch 13) is set to go live early on Thursday morning. We knew this update was coming, and it’s taken on even more significance with the death of Willie Mays this week.

The main reason for this patch is to introduce the Willie Mays Storyline and Rickwood Field. Mays began his career in the Negro Leagues in 1948 for the Black Barons. This will be the basis for the Storylines feature being added by SDS.

The best thing about the Storylines feature has been its commitment to history. I can take some amount of umbrage with the lack of gameplay innovation within the mode, but as an educational tool and device to use as a way to explain the significance of events in baseball’s past, it’s a complete success. I have no doubt the Willie Mays Storyline will honor his place in history and can’t wait to play it.

Beyond the feature update, this is a light patch with the other notable add being the LA Dodgers getting their City Connect uniforms into the game. There are no gameplay changes in this patch, and you can see the full patch notes below.
