MLB The Show 21: 11th Inning Program Guide and Overview

The “forever” 11th Inning Program is here, and this will likely be the end of my journey with MLB The Show 21 Diamond Dynasty as well. We’re getting at least one more new event with a couple new cards, but I think this 11th Inning Program is generally how SDS starts to wave goodbye to the old in preparation for the new. I have played DD more than ever this year, and I reached my goal of acquiring every single card in the game up to this point, so it’s fair to say I loved my time with the mode this year.

I also want to thank all of you for reading these updates and helping the DD community continue to grow here on OS. I’m happy to write about this mode because I do think overall it shines a light on the promise of these modes. When a studio can tamp down on the greed for green enough to not let it interfere with a developer’s vision for this sort of mode, I do think the idea of building your fantasy team while tapping into the joy of sports cards is a fantastic combination.

With all that said, let’s detail what’s here in the program that will take you through to MLB The Show 22.

Showdown

This looks like it will be a repeatable mission for XP when it arrives, and you will be going up against bosses from prior innings.

Conquest

11th Inning Happy New Year Conquest Map

The first Conquest map is the Happy New Year! map. This map is worth 45,000 XP, and you will get a new bat skin with it. You do need to steal two million fans as well to complete the map.

Missions

We get a ton of missions right from the start this time around.

  • Competitive Dubs – Win 10 games in online modes (7,500 XP)
  • Extra Innings: Dubs – Win 5 games in Extra Innings (5,000 XP)
  • Double The Dubs – Win 20 games in online modes (7,500 XP)
  • Extra Innings: Double The Dubs – Win 10 games in Extra Innings (5,000 XP)
  • Triple The Dubs – Win 30 games in online modes (7,500 XP)
  • Extra Innings: Triple The Dubs – Win 15 games in Extra Innings (5,000 XP)
  • 15 Conquest Dubs – Win 15 Conquest games (5,000 XP)
  • 30 Conquest Dubs – Win 30 Conquest games (5,000 XP)
  • 45 Conquest Dubs – Win 45 Conquest games (5,000 XP)
  • Online Innings Pitched (Repeatable) – Tally 21 IP (5,000 XP)
  • Offline Innings Pitched – Tally 42 IP (5,000 XP)
  • Online Total Bases (Repeatable) – Tally 40 total bases (5,000 XP)
  • Offline Total Bases – Tally 80 total bases (5,000 XP)
  • Online Strikeouts (Repeatable) – Tally 20 strikeouts (5,000 XP)
  • Offline Strikeouts – Tally 40 strikeouts (5,000 XP)

Collections And Moments

Note: For any old player programs from prior Innings, they still exist if you have not completed them yet. However, you won’t get the XP for “collecting” the cards in the new Inning, nor do you get XP for the prior Inning Program anymore once it is gone.

I assume we’ll still get a player program or two, but it’s TBD for now.

As for inning collections:

  • 11th Inning Collection – Collect the 10th Inning Boss, Milestone Albert Pujols, to earn XP (30,000 XP)
