I had tried a lower cost Thunderbolt 4 2-meter cable that claimed it was certified. Gosh that cable gave me all sorts of fits and issues, no it wasn't an active certified cable - fraudulent claims otherwise. After buying this Plugable Thunderbolt 4 2m cable my docking station and system ran perfect. Even at 2 meters in length, this Plugable performed like a champ. The male plugs were sturdier and made better connections into the female Thunderbolt slots on my laptop/dock as well - far better quality.
If you need a Thunderbolt 4 cable of any length, save yourself some headaches and buy Plugable. This company makes and sells the real deal. The price is also reasonable, another plus.
