A long Helox+ waterproof jacket inspired by the classic Helly Hansen Fisherman's raincoat

HELOX: Helox+ fabric is fully waterproof and windproof, with a full stretch construction for unrestricted movement and a soft interior fabric for complete comfort (fabric is not breathable.) Complete with welded seams and a garmet repair kit.

FEATURES: Back yoke with ventilation holes underneath, Front placket with hidden snap button closure and zipper down front, Hanging hood with cord adjustment, Hand pockets with welded flap and snap button closure

FIT: Regular - Neither slim nor oversized. Regular-fitting garments may be worn over thicker midlayers. Pants will have a standard inseam with a cut that's straight through the leg.

HELOX: PROTECTION FROM THE WIND AND RAIN

Helly Hansen introduced Helox in 1949 by sewing a thin sheet of translucent PVC plastic into coats to make them waterproof. This revolutionary technology became the must-have protection for outdoor use, with immediate success the technology was used by the Norwegian delegation at the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki.

Today, Helox products are made with a PVC free material while still retaining many classic and stylish silhouettes. Helox+ fabric is 100% waterproof, featuring a full stretch construction for unrestricted movement paired with a soft interior fabric for complete comfort (although the fabric is not breathable, it will keep you protected in the worst conditions possible). The Helox+ fabric is now made out of a durable and flexible PVC free material and comes with a color-matched PU repair kit, in the Norwegian tradition of repairing your gear to ensure it has the longest life possible.

I have been on the hunt for the perfect lightweight rain jacket/coat and this is it. The materials and quality of construction exceeded my expectations. I also love that it comes with an extra piece of fabric for repairs in case there is damage. The color, bright yellow, looks scary to think about wearing… but it really does perk you up on a dreary rainy day. I also love the generous cut of the body fit. Great for layering or bulky sweaters underneath. I tried another HH style that has a waist belt but went for this because of the ability to layer. The hood is a great size for keeping your head dry. I also appreciate the subtle branding on the hood “HH” It’s not too flashy but just enough to feel premium. Lastly this also makes a perfect jacket for packing with you on a trip.

A beautiful raincoat but too tight to sit in without tearing the bottom of the zipper. It’s been designed for appearance not function. It needs a flap at the bottom so the wearer can bend, work and sit without stressing the fabric at the bottom of the zipper.
