    I am an old newspaper man and I learned my craft on manual typewriters long before the days of computers. I thought this would be a nice decorative item for my office, and I am thrilled with it. The engineering that went into this is nothing short of amazing. It seemed to be a difficult project, so I enlisted my grandson, who has years of experience with Lego kits. He knocked it off in two days but found one key piece missing. Lego immediately sent a replacement, and I now display the finished kit on my book shelf.

    The whole time, I was just fascinated by every step. How did anybody even figure out how to do this? It's an amazing build. HIGHLY recommend!!

    There is one thing that I should clarify… Yes it "works" inasmuch as a Lego set can work, and it sounds just like a typewriter – just amazing – BUT, there is only one arm (the center one) that functions in that way. The rest are decorative. It's still incredible (!!!), but that was something that I didn't realize before I started on it.
