My grandparents are the type of people who buy everything they need and they don't care much for knick knacks and my grandparents always loved when I wrote them letters, so I thought this would be the perfect gift, especially after purchasing "Letters to my mother". What I did not anticipate, was that the prompts were designed for a young school age child with questions guided to write one word to one sentences answers, doodles, etc. It is literally impossible for me to make it work as a 26 year old, but would be very cute for a small child to give their grandma or grandpa. Not sure why I didn't consider that a lot of people my age aren't so lucky to still have grandparents, but I was thinking this was a more adult gift due to the purchase of the "letters to my mother" booklet from the same company. Just a heads up to any like minded people. Probably going to give it to my friend so her kids can write through them to give to her parents so someone else can enjoy them at least.

This booklet has only a couple pages for you to write out more than a sentence and multiple pages with boxes to draw in things like "maybe in the future people will live in homes that look like this" or short answer prompts with less than 3 lines to write.
I think it'd be a great gift if the person filling it out was a child/tween but the prompts don't make as much sense coming from a young adult like myself (for example the whole page about school).
In contrast I got the version to give to your Dad and that one has very basic prompts like "thank you for..." And then a whole page to write which is what I thought this book might include as well.

I purchased this to write letters and then give to my grandmother who is isolation at her retirement village during COVID-19. It is simply wonderful. She now has the pleasure of opening a new letter each day (over 12 days). She has said it gives her a reason to get out of bed in the morning. How special. Note that it is designed for young children to give to their grandparents - probably 8-15 year olds. I am 30 years old so I had to adapt some of the questions(!) but it was no problem. The point is that it is beautiful, bright and prompts you to write particular memories. What a great gift to give or receive. Highly recommend. I have also purchased the Mother, Father and Sister version for my family members to give them at their next birthdays :)
