I've had good experience with other Tomtoc products, so that was a secondary reason I went with this instead of one of the cheaper options. The primary reason was for portrait mode, propping up the iPad on a tabletop -- making FaceTime calls and playing games like Marvel Snap. I've found it more stable than expecte, and the horizontal mode works a treat, too. The magnets are not too strong, but really make everything stay secure in any orientation. In short, super worth it.

I happen to have unusual needs with regards to my iPad use. I primarily use it for writing notes or marking up PDF's using the pencil in the vertical orientation while sitting in a chair. However, sometimes I need to read PDF's (in the vertical orientation) with the iPad sitting on a desk while using my hands (or even another iPad) for a separate task.
While this case is a bit large and cumbersome for the 1st use (which is my usual use), it excels under the rarer use case of having your iPod propped up in the vertical mode to use it as a reference while doing another task. For me, this is using it to read manuals where the vertical orientation gives the perfect aspect ratio of the printed page and if you had to use it horizontally you would constantly be scrolling and resizing. There are some other cases that allow propping your iPad up in the vertical orientation but the majority forego screen protection making them much less useful or alternatively, are even more grotesque to look at and destroy any sense of professionalism if working in an office environment (i.e., they look like they were made for children). While I find myself alternating between this case and my preferred all-a-rounder (a tineeowl case), when I know I'm going to be spending many hours using my iPad propped on the desk vertically it is well worth it to swap them out. The alternative, perhaps, would be to use one of those folding a-frame portable stands and throwing that into my bag but I think the dedicated case is a more professional and aesthetically pleasing solution. Construction is good although the pho-leather does pick up grease from your fingers. The rather generic pencil holder that shares the entire side of the case, while functional and seems to have become the norm in cases with built in storage, does not release the pencil as smoothly or easily as my goto case. The other downside is it is rather chunky, weighing 15.6 oz by itself compared to about 7.6oz for my everyday case. Regardless, a nice case if you have these needs and don't mind a "quiver" of cases but I think it is a bit heavy as a single case to rule them all.

I bought 3 of these cases. I like the material and even though there are not many options in colors there are not terrible to my own personal liking. My first one I gave to my husband after he got a New IPad Air and he likes it and happy with it like I was while using for a little bit. I bought another one for myself of different color but returned it because the wake/sleep was not working on my iPad even though is the same kind of IPad as my husband and the other case worked for me. Bought a 3rd one of different color and the wake/sleep didn’t work on this one either. So 3 cases one with working wake/sleep option 2 with no working wake/sleep. 🤔

Exceeds expectations. Glove-like fit, landscape, portrait and sketch positions easy to set up and cutouts very precise allowing easy access to touch button and usb-c connection. The material has a quality feel and adds very little to the thickness and weight to the iPad Air 4 tablet. Automatic on/off feature works as advertised. I have the Apple Magic Keyboard, but got this to use when the keyboard is not needed.

Very good quality case that protect the iPad very well. I bought it because I prefer to read my newspaper In portrait format. The case can also be used I. Landscape mode. Only negative is that it’s heavier than the Apple Cover. But the Apple cover does not allow for portrait look which is why I did not buy it.

I do enjoy all the different orientations the case can be put in. The caveat is that it is bulky - protective but big and heavy. The pen slot is a bit tight, so its a little finicky to take it out. If you take notes and need to continue your thought process fast without any breaks, I would opt for a case without as tight of a pen slot.

Excelente y resistente. Al Ipad no le va a pasar NADA mientras tenga la carcasa. Aumenta un poco el peso del aparato, pero nada que se vuelva incómodo.

El color que pedí fue el naranja y viene con la función de bloqueo y carátula magnética.
