These water-repelling pants also feature fully taped seams to prevent leaks, ankle snaps with tabs to make it easy to pull boots on and off, and bonded storm flaps over the zippers to keep moisture out. The marmots I have used on two long trails now. The Appalachian Trail and the Pacific Crest Trail. Let me start with nothing is ever 100% waterproof. At some point there will be a saturation point and you will be wet. With that being said these pants are made well, lightweight and will keep the weather off of you in brief storms and winter conditions. Walking all day in rain, chances are you will be wet by the time you reach camp. They dry quickly though and are easy to clean. They are a good wind protection at high elevation without adding weight and making you super hot. I always leave the pockets unzipped and the ankles unzipped when not raining to keep my body temp down while I hike. They dry fast and have held up through the entire 5 month thru hike. These have also been great when on boats. Took on an Alaska cruise as well as with me when fishing in local lakes. Just an all around nice light layer of weather protection when needed.

I snatched these up as the only waterproof high-rated hiking pant available in Tall, and I report that they exceeded expectations. They are oversize to fit over hiking pants, so buy your regular size. They zip at the feet so you can put them on with your hiking shoes on, but in reality, it's far easier to just take your shoes off. The snaps at the ankles make them somewhat adjustable, as does the waistband tie. I couldn't hike with my phone in a zipped hand pocket, so I wish there was a thigh cargo pocket for a phone, but these cut the rain and wind beautifully, and I was so happy I had them. 10/10 recommend.

i'm 5'7" and the "short" length is right for me, which seems crazy but whatever. It’s actually still a little too long. I would recommend sizing up in the waist size, I went from L to XL and it’s still a little tight and leaves red marks on my waist. I don't like that when I sit cross legged all the zippers and toggles at the bottom of the legs stab me. they're insanely loud and swishy. Air gets trapped in them and they make fart sounds when you bend down. They are pretty baggy, so you have to work hard to style them cute. so far, they do keep out the rain.

Es un pantalón muy cómodo y ligero pero, también es muy buena opción para caminar en condiciones de lluvia intensa. Como todo material impermeable, tiene un límite de saturación, así que llega el momento en que empieza a dejar que el agua pase.

El sudor también se acumula un poco por dentro pero si lo usas con otra prenda abajo de este, no tendrás problemas.

Este modelo en particular no tiene cierre completo, pero tiene sus ventajas porque así tiene menos puntos débiles para que pase el agua. Sin embargo el tamaño del cierre es suficiente para ponerte o quitarte tenis o botas que lleguen. Omo máximo a la espinilla.
