These are terrible and I had to remove them after less than 10 minutes of Nordic Ski Walking.
The rubber “boots” I typically use are far better.
I expected them to be great so I tossed out all the packaging and now it was just a waste of money.

These tips will likely last longer than the plain rubber traction tips, but are more expensive, don't grip as well on many surfaces and are noisier than the rubber ones. I find that they slip on smooth pavement/sidewalks, leaves, etc. My set has each lost one of it's studs (fell out, not worn down). I try to use this tip mostly during winter when there is ice and snow on parts of my route, but they don't work nearly as well as just removing them and allowing the carbide tips to bite into whatever surface presents itself. The trade-off is that I will need to replace the carbide tips sooner depending on how much paved surfaces I encounter. I also find the carbide tips to be superior to use for hiking unpaved trails or on frozen, snow-covered lakes than the studded or plain rubber tips. I've used my poles extensively during my 3 years of ownership, walking 3-5 miles regularly and still have the original carbide tip, but have worn out 3 rubber tips. I love using the poles and think they do improve the fitness of my 76 year old body!
