Time will tell how durable this juicer is, but we bought a Kitchenaid and had to replace our existing centrifuge-style unit on the counter. It likes running at about an 8 or 9 for apples, and produces a nearly dry pulp (much more efficient than our old juicer). I went through 20lb of apples for cider in about 30 minutes; not the fastest I've done, but not having to re-process pulp is a huge win.
It does come apart into quite a few pieces, but they're all logical, keyed so you can't put them in wrong, and easily remembered. I'm quite happy with this juicer, especially if it lasts as long as a Kitchenaid should.

Impossible to clean
This machine works on a well-established principle, i.e. squeezing fruits to extract the juice. However, the blade that cuts fruits is not very well designed and it frequently leaves pieces (enclosed photo) especially of oranges and apples. Also, the output does not have any pipe and as a result drops of juice are splashed back on the bottom (another photo). The mesh that I used most started rusting (another photo). To top these, the machine is very hard to wash, especially the drainer - typically, for 3 oranges and one apple that I had for breakfast, it took me 4 minutes to prepare fruits (they need to be peeled and cut because the chute is not very wide) and get them juiced but another 10 minutes or more to wash details - the parts are NOT dishwasher safe. I decided to return it though the seller probably won't accept that because it was used. But I can not imagine how one can learn the above w/o using it?!
