I'm considering this one too, works pretty well with equipment both with Prowess when dropping the equipment and with Valiant when equipping, and I'd say isn't embarassing to play in most red decks by itself. Also triggers off Sentinel of the Nameless City's Map tokens. Will try if I find an adequate cut.
I already love 1R for a 2/2 haste prowess, so the rest is gravy.
Since its ability triggers off of any spell or ability you control (not just spells) it works with a lot of the same equipment and +1/+1counter synergies that support Nadu, Winged Wisdom decks.
I really like this card. It stacks up well with other 2/2s with haste, and is arguably better than most of them. Prowess is huge, and the only other 2 powered creature with haste + prowess for 1R is Fugitive Codebreaker. I like Slickshot Show-Off more than this card, but I think it compares well to other similar creatures like Reckless Pyrosurfer / Robber of the Rich / Bloodthirsty Adversary.
Nice card, I think it's preferable to Bloodthirsty Adversary. Khenra Spellspear has demonstrated that 2/2 prowess with decent upside is a good starting point.
Prowess puts this card above its closest competition, and the Valiant trigger is super spicy for all the reasons already mentioned. Plus, it's a warrior to boot. Easy include.
This looks like a cool cube card. The baseline of 2/2 haste prowess for 1R is already very decent, and the valiant ability is a strong engine with equipment like Rabbit Battery or Lavaspur Boots or especially in RG, 2-drop engines like Inti, Seneschal of the Sun or Bristly Bill, Spine Sower.
This was the card I had in mind when I decided to re-test Shuko.

In mono-red, you still get lots of things that can target it, like Charming Scoundrel, Inti, Seneschal of the Sun, Earthshaker Khenra, Embereth Veteran, Thundering Raiju, or Reflection of Kiki-Jiki. If you're desperate to get a card, Emberheart Challenger has 2 toughness so it won't die when you intentionally damage your own creature with things that ping or split damage like Fury, Fire//Ice, Goblin Bombardment, Walking Ballista, or a Devil ping from Burn Down the House.
