The only thing i hate about the new versions of Minecraft (except 1.4, i hate everything about 1.4) is just hunger itself, ruins the game, will give this a try

I am going to try this mod. Hunger is annoying for me, especially if I use Smart Moving where hunger drains quickly
tldr: it should. It will come down to how the modder designs new food.
To be technical: If it extends off of the base food class, then it should work fine. On the other hand, if its a new item class that directly changes your hunger, it will probably do nothing.
Eating time has been cut in half. Having no eat time didn't look right, but can be made by request.
You can no longer eat food if your health is full. (Rather, you can, but after the "eating time" is up, you wont lose the item.)
Exception: Foods that give buffs (like Golden Apples) are marked as always edible, and are exceptions to this rule.
Forge and other mod compatibility are currently being explored, however mix with other mods at your own risk, and PLEASE back up your .jar beforehand.
If you still work on this, could you make a version with no animation, no eating wait time, no sprinting, and no stacking food? I know this may be a lot to ask, but it would be so much better, and that is how I think the game should be.
