This week in Dublin, the Women's Infrastructure Network (WIN) Ireland hosted Dandelion and co-founder, former President Mary Robinson, at the event ‘Climate Justice – The Time is Now,’ sponsored by KPMG Ireland and RWE. WIN Ireland is dedicated to connecting and uplifting women in the infrastructure sector. Mary Robinson joined Michele Connolly from KPMG for a fireside chat, where the coming together of Project Dandelion and WIN emphasized our collective strength in solving for the climate crisis. Mary called to action over 300 attendees, who were each pinned as new Dandelions, and now join us in a collective commitment towards a climate-safe world for all. Mary's call to 'make it personal' and embody the desired change inspired us all. A heartfelt thanks to Jenna Davis, Vanessa O'Connell, Michele Connolly for bridging our networks towards a brighter, more sustainable future. 🌍

What a success of a film ‘Mrs Robinson’ is. A huge well done to Aoife Kelleher, Cormac Hargaden, Trisha Canning, and so many others for producing such a captivating and memorable documentary of the amazing Mary Robinson’s life. 👏👏👏 Great also to see Pat Mitchell in Ireland(who was also Exec Producer of the film). Project Dandelion is well and truly growing in Ireland (and elsewhere), as Mary herself said yesterday, “we are heading in the right direction [in tackling the #ClimateCrisis], we just need to move much faster!”. I spoke to so many creative, entrepreneurial people yesterday at the #GalwayFilmFleadh about Project Dandelion. I hope to pick up on some of those conversations this week. 💛 Thank you to Stephen Cook, Nigel Garman, Freeda Garman, Pippa Ratcliffe, Lesley O'Connor for being with me for this experience. Want to pick up on Mary’s amazing life of action and make a difference alongside her? Sign up to Project Dandelion at www.projectdandelion.org - when women lead, action follows!

When women lead, action follows! We are honored to be represented by Dandelion Elizabeth Sheehan MPH at the San Francisco Citi protest, which Third Act and #1000Grandmothers hosted this week to call out Citibank's continued funding of fossil fuels. Alone, we have power. But together, we have impact.
As a Dandelion, I marched yesterday with Third Act SF and 1000 Grandmothers to demand an end to fossil fuel extraction, targeting Citibank's funding of this expansion. Our message was delivered to the SF CEO in a lively and musical protest that proved to be effective. Encouraging my friends over 60 to join Third Act, I find it important to support climate action on all fronts. Today, I attended an event hosted by an Acumen Angel, Arshiya Bose, founder of Black Baza Coffee from India. Her inspirational story highlighted how coffee can be used as an opportunity to promote biodiversity, support farmer livelihoods, and advocate for gender equality. #acumen #NEIDonors #projectdandelion

Project Dandelion is about Climate Justice - a recognition that the climate crisis disproportionately impacts people in poverty, Indigenous peoples, and women and girls. The people that do the least to cause it are those suffering the most, while rich countries and big corporations profit. During a recent panel from The Elders Foundation on long-view leadership and climate justice, Indigenous climate activist PAULO GALVÃO reminded us, “We do not inherit the world from our ancestors. We actually borrow it from our children and from our grandchildren." #PauloGalvao speaks on behalf of his community in Brazil, and encourages us to listen to those on the frontlines of this crisis in order to build a bold, unified approach that addresses both immediate concerns and long-term impacts. United, we have a chance to solve it.

Do you ever feel like no one else cares about the climate crisis? Project Dandelion is proud to partner with #WeAreTheMajority to present this groundbreaking research, which reveals a stark truth: despite a widespread global desire for action on the climate crisis, the world’s population suffers from a state of pluralistic ignorance. Surprisingly, a significant majority of people support action, with many willing to donate 1% of their monthly income. Yet, crucially, this majority mistakenly believes they are outnumbered by 26 percentage points. This last week, Project Dandelion made its mark at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, joined by the sharp minds at WRTHY. Fresh off our nomination for Fast Company's World Changing Idea of the Year, we were thrilled to dive into the Young Lions Digital competition. The challenge? Crafting a digital-led campaign to amplify the Project Dandelion movement. Each entry was judged live by the esteemed Cannes Lions Juries. With 50 submissions representing diverse perspective from around the globe, the competition was a testament to sheer creativity and innovation. A special shoutout to the gold-winning team from Mexico, who ingeniously used a dating app to swap ordinary questions with climate-focused icebreakers, sparking meaningful dialogue on climate action.
