Advancing Analytics | 2017

Advancing Analytics | 2017

Information Builders closed out the year with some big headlines: we were named a Leader in Gartner's 2016 Magic Quadrant for Data Quality Tools, Channel Partners rated WebFOCUS BUE a Best-in-Breed Tech Innovation, IBI was ranked as the Top Vendor among our peers in business benefits and operational BI in BARC's The BI Survey 16 and in Ventana Research's Mobile Analytics and BI Value Index, we were awarded a “Hot Vendor” designation, ranking first overall.

With the news, I began reflecting on the year and considering ways to build a winning strategy for continued growth in 2017. In “Good to Great” Collins wrote: “The good-to-great leaders never wanted to become larger-than-life heroes. They never aspired to be put on a pedestal or become unreachable icons. They were seemingly ordinary people quietly producing extraordinary results.” IBI’s culture is very similar to this; we achieve extraordinary results without the fireworks and fanfare sometimes found with our competitors. You won’t find us on the NASDAQ, flying banners over our rival’s user conferences or on a PGA tour bag. You will find us as a market leader and innovator in every reputable analyst report.

Here in St. Louis, we carry that corporate spirit by delivering results across the Midwest making analytics, data quality and enterprise integration accessible to all business users, not just the data scientist. Our customers range from Fortune 50 multi-nationals to small and midmarket businesses that are the lifeblood of the American economy.

Customers are choosing IBI as their analytics platform to be more data driven and better utilize information. Being data driven helps them compete and grow their bottom-line, but it is not easy. Data is often siloed, stale or locked away; making pretty pictures and dashboards with that data doesn’t help and often exacerbates the problem.

At IBI we collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to truly partner on each data opportunity. We understand what makes each business unique, listen and truly learn how the business operates. From there we define how to most effectively distribute information to the organization. This means understanding how each user interacts with the data, how often, on what device and with what teams. To not only give them what they need but also enable them to solve problems before they occur and prepare for changes before they arrive.

Finally - with businesses generating more data than ever before, IBI is helping them transform the way they collect, analyze and distribute enterprise data. We’re taking CRM, ERP and back office data, unifying it in a single view that improves each user’s information experience. Gaining instant insight without the need to log IT requests, a truly governed self-service analytics experience, personalized for each business users with rapid filtering, visualizations, drill downs and sharing to increase revenue, avoid costs and improve service.
