Need vs. Want: The age-old battle
So many times, folks think what they are spending money 💰 on is a need when it is a want.
In fact, most people have far fewer needs than they really think …
➡️ Food 🫘: we need food with sustenance, like beans. However, many of us want more variety, tastier, or organic foods.
➡️ Housing 🏡: we need a safe roof over our heads to protect us from the elements of Mother Nature. This roof may not necessarily need to be where we are living now. However, many of us want the comfort of multiple rooms, aesthetically pleasing designs, and comfortable furniture, perhaps in a location near social activities. And perhaps in a city or state close to friends, family, career opportunities, and entertainment.
➡️ Clothes 👚: we need warm or cool clothes that can be purchased at a second-hand store or made ourselves. However, many of us want clothes that are fashionable
➡️Transportation 🚙: we need to get to and from a job to pay for our other needs, stores, and perhaps a few close friends and family. This could be by walking, biking, public transit, or a car. However, many of us want to get to other places and want to do so in the comfort of our own car.
While there may be far fewer actual needs, there are many levels of wants 🎯
A recommendation: start with what you truly need and then layer on each level of want as you have the financial means.
Our challenge 💪 to you: what are your real needs for food, housing, clothing, and transportation?

2moWorked for the Taunton Facility for 33months between 6mo as a temp and the rest as a full time worker. As unceremoniously released from work.due to slow work as I was with a lame excuse to why I was chosen, I can still say I was a great place to work..Awesome people to work with. Just wish I didn't let my emotions get away from me when released.and spoke my mind on things. Otherwise I probably would have been rehired when things picked up. Lesson learned.
