TRUE - - - It is time, isn't it? TIP: our only point of 'control' is the present. 🕒 If we wait for 'someone else' to take a stand or push back against dishonorable behavior, nothing will change. Over nearly a decade, I've witnessed and experienced what I define as 'Systemic Avoidance of Duty' (SAD) within Management, HR, and Unions. 😔 The truly SAD aspect is that those who perpetuate this toxicity may not realize how much better their work and career experiences could be. It often functions as a trauma response. We should expect and demand more from those entrusted with 'The Public Trust,' especially when they violate that trust. ⚖️ It has to stop. The data supports this. There's no cost savings or financial benefit to maintaining a toxic environment—it merely reinforces undiagnosed narcissism or sociopathy among those in power, who pretend to be 'doing their job' when they are not. 🚫 Transforming toxic operations into healthy environments is always a win:win. The problem is, those guilty are afraid of being exposed. From a POTU perspective, demanding punitive measures only perpetuates 'Structural Violence'. We need to make it safe for change to happen. The problem with SAD is that it's all about using 'force' and abusing 'power', rather than stewarding power to create a non-toxic environment. 💪 When refusal to end toxicity persists, external oversight and litigation become necessary for positive change, which should be unnecessary among fair-minded and reasonable people. If policy and justice fail, depending on the severity of the harm caused, human beings eventually rebel when they lose faith in the systems supposedly preventing SAD. 🔥 We enjoy fictions like 'The Punisher' and 'The Equalizer' because they address unchecked corruption that leads to toxic, and eventually criminal, activities. Such corruption evolves when we fail to challenge SAD in our lives, work, and careers. Being a business owner, for example, does not grant the right to be abusive. 👊 We have a lot of work to do. It begins by each of us taking personal responsibility to expose, challenge, and say 'no' to SAD when it shows up. It also involves documenting events in support of those targeted and being an honorable 'witness' to those who dare to stand against it. 🛡️ Too many people are waiting for 'someone else' to act, while merely complaining. That does not work. 💬 - POTU David 💖 Love/Like, 🔁 Repost/Share, 💬 Comment with your thoughts, share. Our world needs to learn how to live the principles it already knows. #potudavid #howtothinkpotu #management #HR #unions #sadmanagement #sadhr #sadunions

The POWER & MAGIC of Words -> Read This <- Real Life Values & Success Life changing Moments & Movements Winning & Loosing | Winners & Losers -> Like This: REPOST IT & FOLLOW ME <- It means so much to each of us and is understood in so many different ways and avenues.. But without kindness, understanding, transparency, loyalty, honesty, being supportive, planning, structure and discipline we will never be able to achieve our goals and plans.. One said: Ships are easier to steer when the sea is calm. So a captain’s wit and endurance is tested when it storms, when a ship breaks, or when the chartered course isn’t taken. These are challenging times and challenges to conquer in ones life. Please remember that it is easier to feel confident in command when everything is going well. But real leaders are made in the line of fire and in hellfire. They act when everyone else gives up. The lead by example and push their limits to lead exceptionally.. Success comes to those who don‘t quit and never give up.. Those who keep pushing ahead and even harder when progress is unseen, seems slow or is even staggering.. Because your breakthrough could be there any second of any hour of any day of any week of any month and any year of that moment right around the corner.. Keep Going, Never Stop & Never Give Up your Hope & Belief in YOU.. And whenever you start making your mind treat every negative situation as a lesson to learn in life, you will be able to have a positive life. The more you take things negatively, the more negative your mind and actions become. So when a negative thought comes to your mind, instantly replace it with a positive one. DON‘T LET OTHERS RUIN IT FOR YOU or TAKE IT FROM YOU - don’t let them piling you up with their Garbage and Trash 🗑️.. 🙏🏽 Like this post -> REPOST IT & FOLLOW ME for more 🙏🏽 Tag a leader you appreciate & value 🙏🏽

I recently read the book, “Culture is an Inside Job”, by Scott McGohan, which I highly recommend. Prepare to embrace the discomfort of its truths. The lessons of the book resurfaced when I came across this post. When it comes to organizational culture and leadership, the second list below really is everything. #organizationalculture #belonging #diversityequityinclution #teambuilding #leadership

Ase' or Ashe' is an African word from the Yoruba language, which originated in the country of Nigeria. Asé means three particularly important things: A.) (And the most widely known meaning)- Asé is a word of affirmation, like the word ‘Amen’ at the end of a prayer. It means, “Right on!” “Yes!” “I’m with you!” “I can dig it.” So, when someone says something, you like, say Asé loud and proud, for it is not a meek and retiring word. It is bold and powerful and affirms aloud that which resonates in your heart as true. Asé? B.) Asé is a word that means life force or life energy, like the concept of Prana in Sanskrit or Qi in Asia. Each person comes into this life with a certain amount of life force, which can be increased or decreased throughout our lives, depending on our choices. For example, negative thoughts and actions can decrease your life force, and positive thoughts and actions can increase it. In the Yoruba culture, it is said that our Ancestors bring us the Asé. Those who have come before us have generated for us and left behind for us a certain gravitas that becomes our Asé in this lifetime. Similarly, our descendants, those who come after us, increase our Asé as they help increase our bloodline and therefore our influence on this Earth. C.) (And perhaps the most important meaning)- Asé means the power to create that which you speak. As we’ve already discussed, Asé means life force, so it makes sense then that you are adding life force to every word that comes out of your mouth. This is one of the many reasons it is crucial to be careful of what you are saying. It is imperative to choose your words wisely and intentionally. If you only realized how much Asé you must create that which you speak, you would become much more aware of the words you add your life force to.
