So exciting, and kind of surreal, to see Serve You come to market in this spring's Scoop magazine. Over the past year, we spent a lot of time thinking about how today's diners eat, and how we can help operators meet those dietary and lifestyle needs - which are intensely personal, ever-changing, non-linear. We chose the name "Serve You" because, well, the choice is yours - and your options when dining out should serve whatever well-being means to you. Eating for wellness means different things to different people at different times. I have aging parents and a teenage daughter: sometimes the best thing for my mental health is a cheeseburger and fries. This morning I had oat milk in my coffee and cream cheese on my bagel. I'm not alone. Dietary need states can change day-to-day, within the same day, even within the same meal - for many reasons, or for no reason at all. Some people are trying to watch their cholesterol or how much they spend. Others are concerned about the climate or animal welfare. Others just don't feel great after they eat dairy or bread. Don't sweat The Why. Don't spend time worrying about the labels (vegan! flexitarian! reducitarian!) or the logic (spoiler alert: sometimes there is none). Focus instead on having options - that way, you'll have something for everyone at the table at every meal, in every day part, across every operational segment.
Are you hungry for better? This spring, our Scoop™ launch puts a special focus on well-being and what that means to all diners when it comes to personal dietary needs and preferences: https://bit.ly/3TpXDY7 🥑 🥗 🍕 #usfoods

Many dietary models focus on what to avoid in our food. Here are some examples; LCHF is all about reducing carb intake, low-fat diets suggest limiting fat consumption, and some RAW food diets exclude cooked food. However, with Lifestyle Medicine, we focus on what to include in our diet such as whole grains, healthy fats and plenty of fruits and vegetables. #lifestylemedicine #healthyeating #nutritionist #dietist #hälsa #corporatehealth

The concept of a "healthy food ratio" generally refers to the proportion of different types of foods in your #diet that contribute to overall health and well-being. While specific ratios may vary based on individual needs, dietary preferences, and health conditions, a balanced and nutritious diet typically includes a variety of food groups in appropriate proportions. What is your favorite healthy food? #girlfriendshealth

Let's be honest not everyone wants to spend hours in the kitchen preparing meals. But no worries, you and I will work together to find a plan that meets your dietary needs that not only protects your health and makes you feel energized, but tastes amazing as well. I personalize each meal while respecting dietary restrictions, preferences and concerns, all the while being mindful of the time commitment in the kitchen. #mealplanning #wholefoods #healthy #culinary #nutritionist #menuplanning #journeytowellness #nutritiontips #culinaryinspirations #healthyeating

Do you have a favourite food and feel you can't get through a day without? Mine's bread 🍞 so I don't go a day without it. If you're planning to eat healthier or diet*, it is important to keep your favourite foods in the mix. Why? The more of those foods you remove, the less likely you are to stick to your diet. Those who are more flexible in their food choices are better able to maintain their weight loss than those who are rigid. This is termed 'dietary adherence'. Keeping your diet similar to your usual diet improves dietary adherence. Bread lovers? In a study (Loria-Kohen et al 2012), those that cut out bread ( when dieting or eating healthier) had three times as many drop outs as those that included bread. 🤗 * I use the word 'diet' interchangeably in context, referring to either a diet to lose weight, or improve health, or as a preferred way of eating. #vegan #veganlife #plantbased #plantbasednutrition #nutritioncoach

With new diets coming out every other day, it can be confusing to know the right healthy choices to make. The good news is that many diets are healthy and many can work. New research shows that healthy eating patterns with different percentages of fat, protein, and carbohydrates can all promote weight loss when the right amounts of calories are consumed. Research also shows that peanuts and peanut butter can be a part of all these diets. Learn more about the role peanuts play in healthy eating patterns in a high-quality, printable format on our website: https://bit.ly/459ihkM #Peanuts #PeanutSuperfood

🍓 New ABS data shows that Australians are not only cutting back on vegetables and fruit, but are continuing to fill their supermarket trolleys with snack foods. The latest figures show that unhealthy (discretionary) foods contributed 38.6% of total dietary energy available, similar to 2021-22 (38.5%) and 2020-21 (38.6%). "This data adds to mounting evidence that Australians’ diets are worsening," said Jane Martin, Executive Manager, Food for Health Alliance. "Australians want to be healthy, but food manufacturers make this made harder by surrounding us with heavily promoted, readily accessible ultra-processed foods like chips, chocolate and snacks. It’s impossible to escape seeing unhealthy foods promoted over healthy food options in supermarket aisles and checkouts." 👉 Click here to read the full media release from the Food Health Alliance: https://lnkd.in/gPDvvG97 🥗 For more information about healthy eating and diet, head to: https://lnkd.in/gA4ZRXrC #healthy #diet #ABS #healthdata #wellbeing
