The Museum Playful Learning Collective has launched! Miami Children's Museum and more than 10 national partners will examine the impact of formal #museum preschool education on school readiness among children. Their research will answer critical questions about the advantages of museum-based preschool education, the alignment of curriculum with museum programs, and the best methods to measure kindergarten readiness. Yesterday, at the American Library Association (ALA) Annual Conference and Exhibition, we announced the launch of our nationwide Information Literacy Initiative. The multipartner project will provide library and museum professionals with successful practices, tools, and programs related to financial, health, digital, and other information literacy subject areas. Acting Director Cyndee Landrum sat down with Library Journal to discuss the project’s origins and overarching goals, saying, “The primary focuses right now are core areas for supporting people to make good life decisions, health decisions, financial decisions.
