Cessna bizjet types are flying the most hours so far this year, just over 481,000 flight hours flown between 1st January and May 12th, on par with last year, 33% ahead of comparable 2019. Los-Angeles to San Francisco is the busiest city pairing for Cessna bizjets so far this year, demand ahead of last year but trailing 2019. Bombardier bizjets are flying 7% more hours than last year, 39% more than 2019. Gulfstream and Dassault types are flying fewer hours than last year, -3% and -7% respectively. The #businessjetmarket in #US showed a diverse mix of established #activeaircraft and #newmodels in 2023. Of the established active aircraft including all aircraft performing at least one flight per calendar year, Gulfstream Aerospace, Cessna Aircraft Company, and BOMBARDIER saw an increase in #activeaircraft showing a #positivetrend in their market presence. According to #JetSpy 2023 US Business Jet Activity Report: #Gulfstream led the way with an additional 132 aircraft with a 5.12% #fleetgrowth followed by Cessna Aircraft Company with 117 aircraft with 2.13% fleet growth and #Bombardier reflecting increase of 108 aircraft with 5.74% #fleetgrowth BOMBARDIER AEROSPACE LEARJET INC saw a decrease of #activeaircraft, with 47 fewer aircraft and a 4.19% fleet decline year-on-year. This is mainly since #Bombardier ended production in 2021. Now if we look at emerging active aircraft, Embraer, Cirrus Aircraft, and Pilatus Aircraft Ltd have experienced significant increases in their #activeaircraft, signaling a #robustexpansion in their respective #marketshares. #Embraer leads with an additional 88 aircraft with 9.28% #fleetgrowth, followed closely by #Cirrus with 87 aircraft and 22.03% fleet growth, while Pilatus with 31 aircraft and 33.33% #fleetgrowth. Active Aircraft includes all aircraft with at least one flight in the calendar year. These changes reflect shifts in the business aviation market, with certain OEMs and aircraft models gaining prominence while others see reduced activity. Also note that the Airbus 380's flight indicators are different than those of the Cessna, as the (agility) challenges are also different. Build your airplane based on what passengers (customers) need. The #G700’s #FAAcertification confirmed two new performance improvements, giving customers increased #flexibility and #airportavailability: a balanced field length takeoff distance of 5,995 feet/1,827 meters and a landing distance of 3,150 ft/960 m (standard ISA day, sea level), both shorter than originally anticipated. In September 2023, Gulfstream announced #G700 performance enhancements for #range, #speed and #cabinaltitude. The aircraft’s range increased to 7,750 nautical miles/14,353 kilometers at Mach 0.85 or 6,650 nm/12,316 km at Mach 0.90, gaining 250 nm/463 km at both speeds over original projections. The G700’s maximum #operatingspeed increased from Mach 0.925 to Mach 0.935, making it the fastest in the #Gulfstreamfleet. Besides, the G700 cabin altitude, already the lowest in business aviation, was further reduced to 2,840 ft/866 m while flying at 41,000 ft/12,497 m, providing even more comfort for passengers.
