One of my favorite resources to share this time of year with orgs and companies who are committed to understanding that diversity doesn’t mean we are all having the same experience.

No matter what language you use to describe your identity and community.
No matter what you perceive your personal or professional influence in society.
No matter your lived experience of privilege and/or oppression.
No matter the level of interest you normally have on understanding prejudice and discrimination…
I ask my entire LinkedIn Network to take time to read, understand and reflect on this report.
Together, we can do more to improve equity and become anti-racist!
The language of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) is crucially important for us as Americans. Privilege carries responsibility.
It’s lazy to say that bad actors turned DEI into a joke. Do better.
Are you worried that DEI will result in one group being targeted as “bad”? That’s understandable, but a quality diversity program never falls into that trap. Experts know that all groups have elites and scapegoats. They recognize that bigotry and dehumanization occur both within groups and across them.
Is it scary that DEI elevates marginalized voices? If you remove paid troublemakers (foreign cash and political weaponization) from the picture, what’s left is basic human decency.
Our blessings in this world come from God. We serve Him by doing what is right.

It's always an pleasure to travel up to Reading, PA and join in on the conversation with Ebony McNeill and the men of The FORGE. We come together to discuss the myriad issues that effect men and boys of all ages and cultures. These are the types of individuals and programs the we at REFORM Alliance support. In order to change the minds of those that may think the work isn't being done, or the conversations necessary to create real change aren't being had, we need to continue to gather in these spaces together!! The honor is all mine.

Nolan Finley is fond of saying “A conversation is not a competition.”
This is one of the key ideas behind the Civility Project – where Nolan and his friend and fellow journalist Stephen Henderson teach how to build civility in our existing relationships so we can break down the hate before it’s too late.

I hope everyone has a mindful and happy Juneteenth! Dr. Opal Lee's story is a beautiful reminder of how our voices are our super power. Today we celebrate freedom and, most importantly, the reminder that none of us are free unless all of us are free. Celebrate and recharge for the work that must be done to further equity and justice.
