I don't think anyone really knows where things are going. The big shift from international combustion engines (ICE) to electric vehicles, mostly bypassing hybrids, will always puzzle me. Hybrids seem like the logical progression. However, advancements with battery technology, regulatory pressure for emissions, and strong economic incentives for EVs have pushed many OEs past hybrids. Do you think moving straight from ICE powertrains to EVs is the best approach, or should hybrids play a larger role in the transition? #AutomotiveIndustry #ElectricVehicles #Innovation https://lnkd.in/gKEjuSt4

Director, Automotivate India. Coaching & Developing Talents for the Automotive Industry. Dealership turnaround,
A hybrid vehicle combines two or more different power sources, an internal combustion engine (usually gasoline) and an electric motor. These vehicles improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions by using the electric motor to assist engine during acceleration and to power the vehicle at low speeds, while the engine powers the vehicle at higher speeds and recharges the battery. https://lnkd.in/er_-MyaX #hybridsoverevs

The internal combustion engine (ICE) has been the heart of America's #AutoIndustry for more than a century. Today, industry stakeholders are pushing to phase out #ICE in favor of more environmentally friendly battery electric vehicles (#BEVs). However, North America's road to electrification is not monolithic. While BEVs are natural frontrunners, hybrids — full, mild, and plug-ins — all play an essential role in bridging the gap between conventional ICE and fully electric vehicles. During this transition automakers in North America will explore powertrain technologies, engine platforms, transmission designs, and other opportunities. What strategies can OEMs adopt to balance investments across vehicle portfolios when navigating regulatory policies and incentives? Read S&P Global Mobility article: https://okt.to/Xl1MbK

Exploring vehicle performance, this summary compares electric vehicles (EVs), hybrids/plug-in hybrids, and gas cars. EVs impress with instant torque and agile handling due to low centers of gravity. Hybrids combine electric motors for efficiency with gasoline engines for power. Gas cars, known for familiar performance, feature responsive acceleration and extensive refueling infrastructure. Each type has its strengths: EVs prioritize sustainability with zero emissions, while hybrids offer versatility in power sources. Gasoline cars provide convenience with established refueling networks. As technology evolves, performance boundaries blur, shaping the future of mobility for diverse driver needs and environmental concerns. 🚗⚡️ #ElectricVehicles #Hybrids #GasCars #FutureOfMobility 🌱 Ready to experience the future of transportation?
