Meet Lena Namilikonda! 👋 Lena has worked at The Cincinnati Insurance Companies for 7 years. Although Lena has a background in law, she always found herself fascinated by the insurance industry. Her Cincinnati journey began as an IT contractor, but after joining an innovation venture team, she soon realized her true passion and transitioned to the Strategic Innovation department in 2020. As senior innovation strategist, Lena is instrumental in maintaining vital conversations with business leaders and spotlighting business opportunities. Lena’s favorite part about her role is the opportunity to see business leaders and associates be successful. She takes pride in being part of a process that not only solves problems but also fosters career growth, with many associates achieving promotions or exploring new avenues within the company after completing their innovation venture. Lena also serves as vice president of PROPel - Propelling Professionals Forward, one of our employee resource groups. “PROPel provides individuals with professional development resources and connects them with leaders to learn about their unique career development stories. It is really inspiring for individuals to hear that your journey doesn’t always have to be linear.” Outside of the office, Lena is a mother of two with a passion for travelling. So far, she has visited 21 states within the U.S. and 25 countries worldwide. Lena also just graduated from law school for the second time and is currently studying to take her bar exam. Congratulations to the 23 participants of Cincinnati's most recent Future Insurance Professionals Internship program (FIPI)! FIPI is a three-week program designed for college students on a career path to insurance. Once concluded, they will return to their sponsoring agency to fulfill the remainder of their internship. During their time, participants learn a variety of skills including: ✔️ Exposure to various departments 🏠 Property and Casualty insurance basics 📝 Underwriting principles and philosophy 💼 Real world experience with sales, claims, and underwriting representatives Program supervisor Renaee Fox stated, "This year we had a wonderful, vibrant group of agent interns with us. Meet Megan Kreate, SHRM-CP, AINS! Megan has worked at Cincinnati Insurance for 5 ½ years. As an HR business partner, her role is pivotal to shaping the company’s future, as she works closely with managers and associates to help them build successful careers. What Megan loves most about her current position is witnessing the professional growth of her colleagues. Megan’s passion for her work stems from the confidence she feels working for a financially strong and stable organization and from Cincinnati’s unwavering support, which has been instrumental to her personally and professionally. Megan also currently serves as president of PRIDE, a supportive and engaging resource for associates who identify as LGBTQ+. “Being part of the PRIDE group has been such a phenomenal experience. I’ve met so many incredible individuals through this journey, and I am so thankful for the opportunity to see and be part of this impactful group within the organization.” Outside the office, Megan cherishes moments spent with her husband, stepchildren, and her furry family of five (sometimes six) cats and two dogs.
