You have to be of a certain age to have owned a Tonka truck. If you did, you will understand my coming comparison. If you didn't, you were very unfortunate.
I saw a Tesla truck in person for the first time yesterday and it reminded me of a Tonka truck. Besides the awkward shape, the thing that stuck out the most was how small the wheels were in comparison to the size of the truck. Definitely looked like a roll over hazard.
Not withstanding that I am anti-all things Elon Musk, the Tesla truck does not match the sleek clone-like design of the Tesla car. The car, although you can't tell them apart, has very soft edges. The truck looks like when I started building model homes in the 6th grade for all of my army men to have a place to live. Someone went on a straight geometry psychedelic trip and tried to figure out how many angles they could get into a vehicle.
Very weird and not appealing, unless you just want to be different for the sake of being different.
