It's been 2 weeks since I started my new IT help desk technician position and here is what I've learned: I know absolutely NOTHING. I've had previous jobs that were technical support, I finished my boot camp in 2022, and I have a home lab for practice. All of this doesn't necessarily make me prepared for every job I get. In tech, there are so many ways to do things and so many different types of software and devices. Just because you did it one way on your last job doesn't mean that's how it works on the current one. Every environment is different. I've been humbled. I thought I knew my stuff but turns out I know nothing. But I'm ok with that, it gives me room to learn what I need to. The moral of the story is to stay open to learning new things. You do not know it all, whether you have 1 year of experience or 25. Tech is forever changing and different companies do things differently. Stay humble and coachable. #productivity #helpdesktech #informationtechnology #informationsecurity #cybertechdave100daysofcyberchallenge #100daysofcyberchallenge #infosecurity #infosec #leadership #tech #womenoftech #blackintech

The help desk is the number-one place where you’re going to get the experience and get the exposure and figure out where it is you want to go with your career. Once you’re ready to move on, however, certification offers a great path to do so. #Career #Tech #TechCareer #TechJobs #HelpDesk #ITcareer #Certification #CompTIA #ITbrew

The benefit of reflecting on your life alone👇 Reflecting on your life alone allows you to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your own experiences. It gives you the opportunity to evaluate your choices, assess your personal growth, and identify areas for improvement. This introspective process can help you make more informed decisions, set meaningful goals, and align your actions with your values. It also promotes self-awareness and emotional well-being, as it allows you to recognize your strengths, acknowledge your accomplishments, and learn from your challenges. Ultimately, taking time to reflect on your life alone can lead to greater self-fulfillment, personal growth, and a stronger sense of purpose. #taketimeforyou #sysadmin #Itadministrator #ITtechnician #qualifiedEngineer #Certified

"💼 As a software developer, I understand the importance of privacy in both professional and personal spheres. Here's why maintaining a level of confidentiality in your personal life can be invaluable: 1️⃣ Focus on Achievements: By keeping personal matters private, you can channel your energy towards professional accomplishments, ensuring your achievements speak for themselves. 2️⃣ Professionalism: Maintaining a professional image is crucial. It allows you to be known for your skills, work ethic, and expertise rather than personal matters. 3️⃣ Respect Boundaries: Respecting your own boundaries sets the tone for others to do the same. It establishes a culture of professionalism and mutual respect. 4️⃣ Protecting Your Well-being: Shielding your personal life allows you to navigate challenges and victories without unnecessary external scrutiny. It fosters a healthier work-life balance. 5️⃣ Avoiding Overexposure: It's important to remember, not everything needs to be shared on social media. Avoiding the temptation to flex wealth or overshare can protect your privacy and maintain a genuine online presence. Remember, striking a balance between personal and professional life is key. Embrace privacy as a tool for success. 🚀 #Professionalism #PrivacyMatters #CareerSuccess" #privacy
