The ISC2 study on women in cybersecurity, a comprehensive research effort that collected responses from 2,400 women, has revealed several significant findings. These include promising trends in women’s entry into the profession, their roles within teams, and their comparable achievements with men. ISC2's latest Women in Cyber research highlights progress and challenges in diversifying the #cybersecurity field. With women making up 23% of cybersecurity teams, there is a pressing need for sustained DEI initiatives to enhance representation and retention. Great to see the data points, progress still to be made in the field. The report highlighted one positive trend; ISC2 expects the 20-25% range for the number of women working in cybersecurity to shift higher as more young people enter the profession. The report also includes data around Job Satisfaction, Persistent Pay gap, and the importance of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion within the field.
