That time when I assumed a nod meant understanding... We were getting close to opening a sports facility, and I was excited to have someone join the team. I talked him through everything about the scoreboard for the pool. He nodded throughout, and had no questions. A few weeks later, on installation day, I was called to the pool deck. My new staffer was keen to be helpful but appeared to be hearing me say things for the first time! I had falsely assumed, in the rush to open, that we only needed one conversation. Given the number of times I reread a recipe, clearly our brains don't work that way, even with the best intentions! I'm including an exercise for your delegation muscle. 📆 Schedule a chat with me to get moving in your career. #leadershipcoaching

Your actions speak louder than words in this game/business. I've seen too many talk a good one but fall short in the follow-through. It's a tough truth, but reality checks can be harsh. 🍂 Growing up, I always loved the Fall. It signaled back to school, changing leaves, and field hockey season. The smell of crisp New England freshness in the air!! This Fall, it feels fitting to be embarking on a change of scenery: after a wonderful couple years at Greenfly, I'm thrilled to have joined the team at Levellr. ### 📺 Levellr noticed that as sport and entertainment properties started to master the art of social and digital media (we did it, Joe!), those spaces evolved into a form of broadcast media, and less of a place for connection and conversation. As such, fans have turned to online fan communities on Discord and Telegram for conversation, connection, and community. 🤝 Levellr helps organizations seize the opportunity to grow, nurture, and monetize these unique spaces of fandom. Discord has 200M active monthly users chatting about their favorite teams, musicians, and movies, yet sport and entertainment properties are notably absent in these spaces. ### 💸 There's a town square where fans meet to exclusively chat about your team, your most recent trade, or your upcoming new stadium build. Gen Z fans, those with the greatest lifetime value $$, comprise the majority of the square. Wouldn't you want to show up? Pictured here: PEAK New England Fall. Pretending I don't remember if we won or lost this game.

Founder at Proven Media Solutions. Helping people build trust by getting their story in front of target audiences.
Do you prefer taking chances or making chances? What a lot of people call "luck" often comes down to being prepared for opportunities. When your competitor gets in the same media outlets which turned you down, it's time to ask what they did to be prepared for these opportunities. Here are a few differentiators we regularly see: 1. They are a bigger player in the space. 2. They have positioned themselves as a forward-looking organization. 3. They have made getting in the press a priority, which has built their reputation and credibility with media gatekeepers. 4. They have intentionally built relationships with media outlets. 5. They have intentionally timed their narrative and outreach to the news cycle. Basketball players don't wait for second-chance opportunities; they fight for every rebound. Scientists don't hope for an outcome; they conduct experiments. Getting in the press requires the same preparation, patience, and perspiration. #Preparation #Luck #Competition
