It was an extraordinary experience to be a part of #CES2024 in Vegas last week. The year has already gotten off to a super start, and the event was once again defined by what automakers and other mobility-focused companies bring to the table. Even in Vegas, you had about as much chance of winning at the slot machines as finding a company that doesn't boast of its AI prowess at CES 2024. One of my favorite innovations at the event was Volkswagen announcing a deal with ChatGPT that enables users to ask all sorts of questions about their car in the same way they would of a traditional digital assistant. ChatGPT-powered IDA voice assistant can be used to control basic functions like air conditioning, navigation, infotainment, or our random GK queries, which will later be upgraded to more enriching conversations in the future.
