Love what Balance Theory are doing to simplify and connect the business *of* security with the way a security program protects the company. One to watch!

I'm grateful I was able to take the time off I did to recharge, retrain and reconnect. Was an amazing journey retraining and building in AI and safety while traveling and networking. As for roles, as with other things in life, sometimes it takes time to find the right connection...speaking of: I have joined Bumble Inc. as Chief Information Security and Trust Officer!Finding an incredible opportunity to protect people's ability to connect with each other safely and securely (and work with a great team) was worth the wait. Thanks to Lidiane Jones, Antoine Leblond and of course Ali Rayl for the opportunity. Week 1 was great in the London office and can't wait to learn more. It's not every day that you get to see the results of your hard work from the past come to fruition. When I joined Reddit in May of 2018 as their first CISO, I'd never have expected how much I would learn, what amazing people I'd get to meet and work with, and how much value we would all create. While an IPO is just one milestone in a company's history, it's one that enables transparent comparisons to other investments and clear sharing of outcomes. I'm extremely proud of the security, privacy, safety and community team's contribution to this day. Making the internet safer for people to connect with each other matters and it clearly has mattered to Reddit's growth. Thanks to Chris Slowe for taking a chance on me and to Fredrick Lee for connecting me to the company in the first place. Thanks to Brian Neel, Tony Snook, Spencer Koch, Jennifer Gil and Aylea Baldwin for taking the leap to secure Reddit and safeguard our user's privacy. Thanks to Rachel O'Brien and JessicaKate (JK) Ogungbadero for teaching me empathy and about equitable outcomes in challenging product surfaces. Thanks to Tyler Otto for challenging us to fight and measure the unmeasurable. Thanks to Jack Hanlon and Saad Rehmani for your partnership and friendship as we built. It's impossible to keep the list going as there are way too many people to thank both inside and outside the company who contributed mightily to Reddit's success today and many more who will continue to.
