Latest news update from the team:
This week's MRO Update comes from MRO Americas 2024: We can't wait to start attending these events in the future to meet some of you and get insights and your feelings on the industry. But for now, we are looking at this article regarding new talent in aviation. We speak to a number of young aviation experts on a daily basis, and we couldn't agree more that there needs to be more opportunity for younger people, especially with such a shortage of experts. It seems not enough young people are aware of the benefits and the career that can come from working in such an amazing industry, so it's great to see some efforts being made and this topic coming to light. Here's to the future of aviation. 🥂 https://lnkd.in/esXhmhfu

🚀 Exciting Collaboration with Airbus Defence and Space in Seville! 🇪🇸🇩🇪 A couple of weeks ago, my colleague Sabine Beyer and I had the incredible opportunity to visit the Airbus Defence and Space plant in Seville, Spain. The purpose of our visit was to integrate this advanced manufacturing plant into our M4AA Step 3 program. 🌍 M4AA - Mobility 4 Airbus Apprentices This program is a fantastic initiative supported by Erasmus in which our apprentices get to work in one of our international production plants for 6 to 8 weeks. It's not just about gaining practical skills; it's about enriching cultural experiences and fostering a "we are one" mentality for cooperation and understanding across borders. ✈️ Impressive Innovations During our visit, we presented our idea to the Seville site management and toured the final assembly lines of the A400M and C295. We were particularly impressed by their state-of-the-art FOD detection system and efficient PPE dispensing machines. 🤝 A Successful Collaboration I'm thrilled to announce that our visit was a resounding success! We are now in the planning stages of sending the first batch of young apprentices to Seville for a cultural exchange that promises to be both enriching and enlightening. Initiatives like this significantly enhance the vocational training of our apprentices. They're not just learning skills; they're learning about the world, different cultures, and ways of working. It's a win-win situation for everyone involved – the apprentices, our organization, and our global community. #AirbusDefenceAndSpace #Erasmus #VocationalTraining #CulturalExchange #Innovation #Collaboration #Aerospace

LAST OPPORTUNITY! Our survey for analyzing skill acquisition amongst current and recently graduated Aviation Management students closes TODAY (04/17), and we want to hear from you! Lauren Bakun, David Baerson, Andrew Nguyen and I are interested in studying the skills acquired by undergraduates in aviation management programs and comparing them to skills needed for entry-level positions in Aviation Management fields. We are looking for current students or graduates (after 2018) in Aviation Management to participate in our survey. We would appreciate a moment of your time (no more than 5-10 minutes) to complete our survey. Your responses will all be kept anonymous. This survey closes today, Wednesday, April 17! NOTE: An edit to the survey has been made to now allow for 2023 graduates to select their graduation year in the Recent Graduate portion of the survey. The research team apologizes for this error. https://lnkd.in/e8sS2HB9

EUROPEAN ROTORS, the largest business-to-business rotorcraft event in Europe, has something for everyone who is connected to the vertical flight industry. And while the event schedule appeals to a broad audience, it is the business conducted at the show that remains the key focus for show organizers. “We started this show to make it easier for Europe’s rotorcraft industry to conduct business with each other,” said Christian Müller, chairman and technical director of EUROPEAN HELICOPTER ASSOCIATION. “We conducted hundreds of millions of Euros worth of business during the first two shows, so we know our exhibitors and attendees are excited about the opportunity we are providing to them.” Now in its third year and supported by the largest companies in the industry, European Rotors 2023 is taking place in IFEMA MADRID Hall 9 in November 27 to 30, with exhibits open Nov. 28 to 30. The EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency and the European Helicopter Association are organizing the show in coordination with Helicopter Association International and the Spanish Helicopter Association (Asociación de Trabajos Aéreos y de Emergencia - ATAIRE) Building on the success of the first two shows, more and more companies are joining the already busy show floor. “We had a great show last year that was very successful, and everyone was pleased,” added Müller. “However, this show is already bigger. Since networking is another large element of our show, we expect that rotorcraft industry professionals are coming this show to meet current customers and vendors, and establish new business connections for the future. This show is for the industry, put on by those of us in the industry, and we’re excited to see everyone from the industry here.” Exhibition space is limited but still available. Companies interested in promoting their products or services can find information on the European Rotors website. Advertising and sponsorship opportunities also remain available as well. #avfoilnews #aviationbusiness #aviationindustry #europeanrotors
