Four months ago, I posted a nerdy reference to a Turing Machine, claiming that Logic and Data have been the building blocks of computation ever since Alan Turing combined a finite automaton with an infinite tape of memory back in 1936. I said it is only natural that the next era of computation will once again be based on Logic and Data, and cheekily predicted the data part will come from VAST Data. Two weeks ago, at Cisco Live, the main announcement made by Chuck Robbins was their new AI offering. This week, at Hewlett Packard Enterprise Discover, the main announcement made by Antonio Neri, accompanied by Jensen Huang, was their new AI offering. In both cases: - The logic runs on NVIDIA's platform - The data resides on the VAST Data Platform Within two weeks, two of the three largest enterprise IT companies in the world have chosen VAST Data to be their infinite tape of information as they usher the era of AI into the enterprise.
