Happy to announce a major new Enterprise AI study that shifts the focus from enterprise AI adoption to the experiences and outlooks of modern engineers, the individuals at the forefront of this technological disruption!⚡ 🔹 This new study commissioned by EPAM Systems and CyberMedia Research sheds light on the evolving landscape of enterprise AI adoption. 🧠 🔹 It was a pleasure connecting with Elaina Shekhter, Srinivas Reddy and Nandini Bhatnagar recently in Bengaluru to unveil these insightful study findings. 🔹 Key takeaways include: 🎯 Modern engineers overwhelmingly believe AI can enhance their daily work. Automation and increased efficiency are seen as key benefits, with 60% reporting continuous learning opportunities driven by AI. 🎯 Collaboration and data-driven decision-making see a boost. However, seamless integration into existing workflows remains a hurdle (37%). 🎯 Concerns regarding training resources and job security surface. While AI is viewed as a valuable tool, 41% of engineers feel current training is insufficient, leading to job security anxieties (44%). Notably, 76% expect their organizations to bridge this gap by providing access to relevant resources and learning platforms. 🎯 Transparency and control are paramount. Half of the engineers surveyed believe established AI protocols are essential for human accountability. 🎯 Explainable AI (XAI) enjoys strong support (56%) as a means to ensure transparency in decision-making. The report delves deeper into: 🎯 AI's role in enhancing decision-making and data interpretation, emphasizing the importance of human oversight. 🎯 AI's transformative impact on engineering workflows, improving problem-solving, debugging, and efficiency. 🎯 Anticipated job market shifts, with new opportunities emerging in AI/ML model monitoring, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. 🔹 The study, conducted in April-May 2024, surveyed >800 engineers across India's major tech hubs, representing a diverse range of specializations. The findings reveal both the positive impact and ongoing challenges associated with AI integration. 🔗 More here: https://lnkd.in/dN_iE4Ub As AI integrates deeper into engineering, it promises significant industry changes—reshaping roles and job creation.
