I have seen , not so often, but I have seen anyway; Large , Medium and even small COMPANIES hiring the wrong people for the wrong position. Just because someone have an excellent background , qualifications and studies that not necessarily means that He/She is the right candidate to cover a specific vacant. You will be surprised how "often" this happens. This morning for instance , I had a chat with a SALES MANAGER of a heavy equipment brand in Venezuela who happen to be a System Engineer. Nothing wrong with the title itself but then this person had not experienced at all in the industry of Heavy equipments. I am also aware this company has hired 4 different people for that particular role in the last 3 years. Conclusion; RRHH department not always hire the right person. It takes more than a impressive resume to hire the right person to right role. Experience is the Key.

We are urgently looking for an experienced SENIOR TECH SALES MANAGER; who preferably already resides in Europe (preferably in Germany), with preferably Dual Citizenship with South Africa - Aerospace & Defence Industry. The company is the world's leading provider of technologies and consulting services for the efficient use of the radio spectrum in all radio services. It is a multi-national company, servicing clients in more than 100 countries. The main tasks of the role: Lead the Defense solution portfolio, create technical roadmaps and ensure effective coordination between product development departments, in order to grow the military market. Work actively with the Company Headquarters in Germany and also work closely with the subsidiary in South Africa. Coordinate BIDs and offers (technical and commercial). Support sales and generate new business opportunities working with the global company entities. Responsible for acquiring new customers worldwide and for expanding existing customer relationships, including on-site presentations. Provide presentations at defense training courses, workshops and seminars. Minimum Qualifications and Experience for the role: BEng / BSc Degree in Electronics or related. Several years (>5 years) of technical product management and technical sales experience. Business fluent in English and a good level of German; further language skills are an advantage. Extensive knowledge of the Defense Industry and a very well-developed network in this industry. Good communication skills and enjoy working in a team.
