#GoalsandGratitude Today is a special day with a two-part post for July 3 and Independence Day! 🇺🇸 July 3: 1. Feeling grateful for playing the infinite game and making choices that will have a positive impact for 7 generations to come. 2. Appreciating the opportunity to learn from diverse cultures and gain valuable insights. 3. Reflecting on the life lessons learned from basketball and the personal growth it has brought me. Independence Day, July 4 🇺🇸: 1. Heartfelt appreciation for the servicemen and women who have fought and continue to protect our freedom. 2. Celebrating my personal independence from alcohol - it's been 2 years since I had a drink. Although, I do love a good Heineken 0.0! 3. Thankful for this country and the opportunities it provides for growth and progress. Every day, I get to live out the American dream that brought my father here. Jon Harris, MBA, CPP, PSP 🔓

Eugene’s ESA brand of leadership has three key attributes. Let's break it down. Empowering. The ESA leadership fosters an environment where team members feel empowered, enabled, and engaged to take initiative, make decisions, and contribute their unique skills and ideas to the organization's goals. Synergistic. The ESA leadership values collaboration and teamwork, aiming to create synergies while promoting critical thinking among team members to achieve common objectives efficiently and effectively. Agile. The ESA leadership is adaptable and responsive to changes, able to pivot quickly in response to evolving circumstances or opportunities, nurturing the culture of design thinking and ensuring the organization remains competitive and innovative. ESA is crucial for navigating the complexities of the ever-evolving digital and banking landscape. Looking forward to reading your book, Bro! Congratulations, Eugene S. Acevedo!

nEver Stand Alone I have been told countless times I should write my story. I never listened. What for, I often replied. I did not care much about legacy. What changed? I wanted to say, "Thank you." As I approached 60, I realized much has happened in my life. I just did not stop to count. Much of what I have become, I owe to so many. Instead of celebrating in March, it dawned on me that this was the perfect time to express my gratitude to those who helped move my career and my life forward. I never believed in being self-made. Every time I see such description of successful men, often written by their spin doctors, I roll my eyes. I insist that every man or woman who rises above the crowd is supported by other men and women who cared, nurtured, and mentored them. Helping female leaders in professional services find fulfilment and happiness at work | Author The Career Confidence Toolkit | Career and Executive Coach | Podcast Host | "Infectiously driven and straightforward"
When was the last time you took the time to celebrate? I don't mean the end of the project team meal or the lessons learned debrief. I mean really celebrate who you are and who you have become. You are not the person you were 5 years ago, 12 months ago or even 6 weeks ago. You will have learned new skills, developed new perspectives and gained either wider or deeper experience. Rather than rush on to the next thing, busy, busy, busy, take some time to reflect not just on what you have done but who you have become as a result. Doing this allows us to gather evidence of what we are capable of and this evidence provides fuel to the fire of your confidence. I am celebrating three decisions that I have made in the last week about where I choose to direct my time, energy and attention. Why do good things always seem to come in threes? A few years ago, I would have encountered the same situations and reacted very differently. I would have felt it was my responsibility to 'fix' things. I would have thrown myself into the task, even if I didn't necessarily have the time and it wasn't what was best for me. Today, I can appreciate that's not my job. I'm not the same person I was and neither are you! Take some time to appreciate what you have learned and how you have grown.

Happy Independence Day! As we celebrate this summer holiday, let’s pause to reflect on the foundation of what our nation was built upon - that all people have the rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, a freedom often overlooked when in the midst of our everyday routine. In honor of our freedom, consider taking a few moments to think of the freedoms we enjoy and the people who have positively impacted your life. This may be the perfect opportunity to jot down what you’re grateful for and express gratitude to those who touched your life in a meaningful way. Writing it down solidifies it in your mind, is easy to do, and is something you can refer back to when you need an extra boost. In terms of expressing gratitude to people, don’t worry about how long it’s been. How would you feel if someone in your past reached out to you, out of the blue and shared how much of a meaningful difference you made in his/her life? More importantly, what closure and potential happiness would it give to you by doing this? Take this opportunity to make these next few days a spectacular celebration and appreciation of all the good in your life! Wishing you a safe and joyful 4th of July! Gilda (Jill-da)

Author / Speaker / Online Coach -- Helping people accomplish their goals through work-life synergy ⚡️
Today, I’m grateful for: Accomplishments 🏆 Each day from now until Thanksgiving, I will be posting a new facet of my life that I’m grateful for that day; my hope is that it inspires you to take stock of the blessings in your life—and how thankful you are for them 😊 The biggest accomplishment I’ve ever had—by FAR—is somehow convincing this girl to marry me 😍 She’s the total package: beautiful, hard working, supportive, funny, and sets a great example for our kids! I’m thankful that I get to spend the rest of my life with her ❤️ Bre and I have experienced a lot of accomplishments AND failures together—I’m grateful for both. The failures are lessons that help me develop a new way of thinking, sharpen my process, or learn a new skill… The accomplishments are what keep me going; a confirmation of a job well done—the ultimate prize for any goal I’m passionate about. I’m grateful for the accomplishments and failures in my relationships that led me to Bre. I’m grateful for my family’s transparency about their accomplishments and failures to try and help me learn—something I’m focused on paying forward as my boys get older. I’m grateful for all the relationships that these accomplishments have strengthened or introduced me to. I’m grateful for the opportunities that my accomplishments have allowed me in my daily life. What accomplishments are YOU thankful for today? 🥇 #FastandFocus #growthmindset #TodayImThankfulFor #gratitude #accomplishments

A mom, or mother, is a female parent who typically plays a significant role in the upbringing and nurturing of her children. The responsibilities of a mom often include providing physical care, emotional support, and guidance to ensure the well-being and development of her children. __________________________________________________________ The concept of motherhood varies widely across different cultures and societies, but universally, mothers are often seen as primary caregivers and central figures in family life. Their roles can encompass various aspects such as: Physical Care: Ensuring the child is fed, clothed, and healthy. Emotional Support: Providing love, comfort, and security. Education: Teaching children social norms, values, and skills. Guidance: Helping children navigate life's challenges and make decisions. Motherhood is also a deeply personal and emotional experience, shaping the lives of both the mother and her children. The bond between a mother and her child is typically profound, influencing the child's development and the mother's sense of identity and fulfillment.

Today marks my return after family leave & 😲 my 10th year with Diageo. Looking for a life coach? Just have children - then you know. 👅 My daughters (5y, 1y) 👩👧👧 are the boldest life coaches for me. The teachings they have given are raw and honest 🥋 Lesson no 1️⃣ Bringing them up connected me with my own upbringing. Growing up in poverty, amidst of racism of the 90s in East-Germany, thinking I had to assimilate to belong was a part of me. 😤 🙄 Deeply connecting, healing 🧡 , integrating these parts (also) into my professional self is the only way I can be genuine and thrive at work. Lesson no 2️⃣ 🌪 🌪 A strong emotion is like a storm that comes, stays for a while, and passes. Everyone must learn how to survive a storm. 🌪 🌪 How? 🤗 By embracing, understanding and taking good care of your emotions. This is the key for good relationships. Lession no 3️⃣ It is not enough to be against racism. We have to be actively anti-racist. (If you don’t know what that means, go educate yourself. Books: Exit Racism by Tupoka Ogette, Podcast by Halbe Katoffl by Frank Joung,…) I am proud to work for Diageo as we are at the forefront of DE&I efforts within the industry 🧡. However, the progress is often down to hard work of many. 📢 We need everybody to speak up on behalf of those not in the room. 📢 We need everybody to raise awareness and having those "uncomfortable conversations" that are crucial for empowering individuals to bring their authentic selves to work. 🏃♀️I am committed to actively advocate diversity, equity and inclusion across our business and Keep Walking. [DEI, diversity equity inclusion// Diversity describes the traits and characteristics which can differentiate someone, including for example age, gender, nationality and ethnicity. Inclusion is ensuring that all individuals can fully participate in an activity free from discrimination.] Tom Shropshire Frank Joung Tupoka Ogette Caroline RhodesLouise Prashad Debra Crew Joan Hodgins Tolulope Oke Laura Sawyer Natalya Nepomnyashcha
