Achieving 100% Fill Rate in MedTech/HealthTech Searches by Elevating Employee Brand & EVP to Attract the Right Talent
𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗲-𝗢𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 (𝗘𝗢𝗧) 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻? It's funny how you never hear of something, and now you can’t stop hearing about it. That’s what happened to me recently when I learned about Employee-Owned Trusts. I caught up with a friend, Pete, discussing the business he’s been with for over 10 years, and he spoke about their EOT. Here are the key takeaways from my conversation with Pete. Pete pointed out, 'It's not just about being an employee; it's about being an owner. The EOT structure has instilled a sense of ownership, aligning every team member with the company's mission. In Pete's world, the EOT wasn't just a business thing; it was like giving everyone a piece of the company pie. It's not about just doing a job; it's about being a part-owner and having a say in the company's journey. “It's a sweet link between your hard work and the team's big wins that make you feel all in.” Pete sees the EOT as a roadmap to a lasting legacy. “It's not just about the now; it's about building something that lasts.” Pete highlighted the career growth map within the organization, emphasizing a commitment to each person's unique path, making sure it's not just a job but a fulfilling career. In Pete's eyes, the EOT adds flavour to the whole experience, making work feel like a shared adventure. Since my meetup with Pete, I've been curious to know if there are any good examples of EOTs in MedTech. Literally the next working day, Josh Craven spoke to me about Pennine Healthcare and how their employees have fantastic retention and loyalty to the business. Upon asking him how, he said, "as well as other things, they have something called an Employee-Owned Trust…you heard of it?" “Funny you should say that,” I replied. I’d be interested to hear from anyone at Pennine Healthcare about how EOT has impacted you in your role/experience as an employee If you know of any good examples of an EOT in the MedTech space, we would love to hear about it in the comments below! #EmployeeOwnership #MedTech #EOT #retention

MTAA is pleased to announce Audrey McGibbon, Founder and CEO of EEK & SENSE, will present at this year's MTAA MedTech Conference. Audrey's session, A Delicate Balancing Act: How Hybrid can Evolve into a Win-Win, will look into the perspective of both the employer and employee, the challenges of balancing work and life obstacles, early reports on the impact of working from home, and the practical solutions organisations can adopt and consider to make hybrid work arrangements into a win-win scenario. Date: Monday, 30 October 2023 Time: 1:45 pm - 2:30 pm Venue/Room: Sydney ICC/Cockle Bay Room Register here: https://lnkd.in/g8tfrQpd Abstract: Working from home is proving a defining transformation for today’s employers and employees. It’s also deceptively complex and faces increasingly emotive issues that are associated with several key, and sometimes contradictory, outcomes. A range of economic, societal, technological, cultural, regulatory, productivity, engagement, retention and health implications are being reported, but such findings are in their infancy, remain far from clear and are subject to multiple variables with unknown interaction effects. In the meantime, as the challenges of everyday life and work continue unabated and without waiting for the scientific evidence base to catch us up, this session will explore criteria and principles for an organisation’s senior executive team, decision-makers and policy advisers to consider; practical strategies to help people leaders identify and navigate the ‘making hybrid work’ maze, and; offer some constructive provocations for individual employees, especially women. #HybridWorking #WFH #Workfromhome #MedTech23 Rebecca Cortiula BSc, MBA, GAICD

Consultant in ICU & Anaesthesia. CD for virtual wards, Speciality Lead Acute Care, Cambridge University
Virtual Wards and Hospitals at Home are not passive products that you purchase with the hope that they will make your organisation clean and efficient. They are not there to mask inefficiencies and previous underinvestment. Virtual Wards and Hospitals at Home are an opportunity to introduce new, improved standards of care. They require the power to drive transformation. Clear messaging with executive sponsorship is needed to empower teams to make the bold changes that are sometimes needed. Teams need appropriate, high quality medical grade technology, connectivity and data to enable integration and intelligent pathways to operate. Nothing can happen without collaboration. Everything is possible with an aspirational, positive approach to the multidisciplinary and multi organisation team.
