Football management as a case study for real management....
"This decision creates the avenue for our next general manager to have the full opportunity to impart a new philosophy and structure onto our sporting operations, which begins with the critical identification of a head coach who will best align with this."
Is it just me wondering why the club doesn't define their philosophy and structure, then find a manager to implement and evolve it. Or to put it another way: live your values! Not get a whole new set of values every time you change personnel after unsurprisingly not winning everything after one season.
or maybe clubs get the managers they deserve

1moAfter hearing his teammates share what an amazing leader he is both on and off the ice in interviews and panel discussions, I'm not surprised that my FAVORITE player received this prestigious award. Congratulations Cal! Hopefully, next season, you'll come over and say hello during warmups when I hold up my silly sign that says, "Cal, Why are they all here for our date?" At least Bortuzzo got a kick out of it. 😜
