Turkish astronaut Alper Gezeravcı and the Axiom-3 crew successfully docked at the International Space Station after a 37-hour journey from NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Kennedy Space Center. 🌍🛰️ The mission, orchestrated by Axiom in collaboration with SpaceX, marks another milestone in commercial space travel. The diverse crew, led by Michael López-Alegría, includes Italy's Walter Villadei and ESA astronaut Marcus Wandt. Over the next 14 days, they'll conduct 30+ experiments focusing on human health in microgravity. The delays in NASA's Artemis moon program are making some members of Congress nervous. Last week, NASA announced that it's now targeting September 2025 for its Artemis 2 mission, which will send four astronauts around the moon, and September 2026 for Artemis 3, which will put boots on Earth's nearest neighbor for the first time in more than half a century. These new Artemis launch dates represent delays of about a year for each flight. 🚀 Yesterday marked a monumental achievement as the Boeing CST-100 Starliner's crewed test flight successfully launched on a United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V rocket! After much anticipation and overcoming the challenges of a helium leak delay, and a computer sequence delay we can now celebrate this incredible milestone in human spaceflight!🚀😃 This launch is particularly historic as it's the first time humans have launched from Space Launch Complex 41 and the first Human Space Flight Launch from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station since the Apollo 7 mission in 1968. 🧑🚀 Safety always comes first, and this mission exemplifies the dedication and hard work of everyone involved. Instruments and researchers from #NASAMarshall are participating in the ALOFT project that is using NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration's ER-2 aircraft to fly above Central America, the Caribbean, and the coast of Florida - all hotspots for thunderstorm activity this time of year. From just above the height of a thundercloud, the team expects to collect detailed data that can advance the study of high-energy radiation emissions from thunderstorms. 🚀 TESATs equipment on its way to #Psyche. Equipped with X-Band TWTAs and a Power Distribution Assembly (PDA) developed and manufactured by #TeamTESAT, NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration successfully launched the #Psyche #Satellite on a SpaceX Falcon Heavy spacecraft this afternoon to visit the asteroid 16 #Psyche, the largest metallic object within our solar system. ☄️ The mission contains the research on how planets form as it is assumed that #Psyche has been a planet before it collided with another object and could give significant insights on our earth core.
