"Pricing is not simply 'supply and demand'. Pricing has a psychology component to it." - RetailWire CEO Dominick Miserandino recently shared insights on retail pricing strategies on live TV at NewsNation. As inflation impacts spending habits, retailers like McDonald's are using value-driven promotions to keep customers coming back. Is it going to be a "summer of value"? (Brian Harbour, CFA of Morgan Stanley) What should retailers do to attract price-sensitive customers? Comment your thoughts below!
Absolutely agree! Understanding the psychology behind pricing is crucial, especially in an inflationary environment. Retailers need to focus on value driven strategies to meet the needs of price sensitive consumers. Leveraging promotions, loyalty programs, and transparent communication can significantly enhance customer retention. It will be interesting to see how different retailers adapt to make this a “summer of value.”
Well stated Dominick Miserandino. It’s less about an actual price number, and more about perception right now. Key is in the value of a better deal or greater benefits for the money. Customer needs to feel it in some way. Companies need to state this value, then deliver on it.
Timely discussion! Thanks for sharing, Dominick!
Great appearance.
