Today marks a truly humbling moment in my career – I am beyond grateful to be the recipient of the Denver Hutt Rising Star Award. Established in 2016, this award is not just a recognition but a symbol of the spirit that Denver so passionately embodied – a spirit of relentless innovation, engagement, and collaboration in the real estate industry. Denver Hutt, in her short but impactful tenure at MIBOR taught us that making a difference isn’t tied to the length of one’s career, but to the depth of one’s passion and commitment. Her mantra, “If not now, when?” is a powerful reminder that we don’t need to wait for a “right time” to make a significant impact. As a National Association of REALTORS® member I’ve strived to align my work with my core values of PEOPLE, QUALITY, SERVICE, and INNOVATION. This award is not just for me, but for everyone who has been part of my journey – clients, colleagues, mentors, and the vibrant LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance community. Together, we’re not just buying and selling homes; we’re building relationships , nurturing dreams and creating a better tomorrow for those around us. Let’s continue to build together, innovate, and transform lives through real estate. Here’s to many more years of learning, growing, and making a positive impact – together! #RisingStar #RealEstateExcellence #DenverHuttLegacy #CommunityBuilding #LockstepRealty #exprealty

"This #PrideMonth, let's acknowledge the gap between celebration and reality for LGBTQ+ engineers and minorities in the industry. Microaggressions and lack of true inclusion persist. “Real change starts at the grassroots level.” One of our tutors, Animesh Anand’s, has shared his insights: We need a culture shift. - Companies need to move beyond quotas and invest in cultural training, mentorship programs and partnerships with diversity groups. - Individuals need to challenge discriminatory behaviour and promote empathy. Together, let's create an engineering field where everyone can thrive. Read the full article here 👉 bit.ly/3XwSvFb #DiversityInSTEM #EngineeringForAll

Day 13/30: Ads that tell a Story: In the realm of impactful campaigns, "Love Has No Labels" stands tall, transcending traditional norms and challenging the biases that often divide us. Eight years ago, the Ad Council, in collaboration with R/GA, embarked on a journey that evolved into a powerful movement. The "Diversity & Inclusion" ad, under the Love Has No Labels initiative, is a visual symphony that delves into the heart of diversity and inclusion, leaving a lasting mark on our perceptions. The ad masterfully uses symbolism to convey its message. The skeletons, devoid of labels associated with race, gender, or any other identifier, become a powerful metaphor for our shared humanity. Stripped of superficial markers, the skeletons illustrate that, beneath the surface, we are all the same—a powerful visual cue challenging the stereotypes that often lead to discrimination. The ad goes beyond showcasing diversity; it actively seeks to evoke empathy. The choice of diverse relationships and the emotions portrayed humanize the characters, making it relatable to a wide audience. It invites viewers to see beyond the external and connect with the universal emotions that bind us—joy, sorrow, and, above all, love. #advertsing #inclusion #marketing #love #lgbtq #creative #contentmarketing #adsoftheworld #adcampaign #impact https://lnkd.in/djT-_q9T

Do you want to learn about allyship within sport and how to be a CHAMP10N in supporting others being their authentic selves? Join Carlette, Mark R. Allen, MD, and Christopher McLaughlin, MSW, LCSW & NASW Maine Executive Director Inspired Consulting Group, LLC, in our latest episode "The Power of Belonging" to hear the power of story and how to implement winning strategies to create a more inclusive athletic environment. Watch the full episode: https://lnkd.in/gASD6abs or listen here: https://lnkd.in/g5zfpUCU Winning Strategies: 1) Begin by educating yourself and others. Understand where bias and stereotypes originate and eradicate the ideas of what masculinity or femininity “should” look like. Recognize how stigma continues to affect the LGBTQ+ populations and stand up for and support teammates or coaches no matter where you are to demonstrate true allyship. 2) “All Sports for All People''. Implement inclusive language into your everyday vocabulary, especially around youth athletes. Young LGBTQ+ populations face barriers participating in athletics and are significantly less present within youth sports, so it is essential to start at the bottom so children can feel more comfortable participating. 3) “The power of story moves hearts to then move minds”. Get to know your neighbors or teammates’ stories. The more we can learn from others’ experiences and perspectives, the more we can fight against present bias and stigmas. Let others know your authentic self and embrace the idea of belonging. Be a CHAMP10N 4 Change: www.sportslifecoaching.com #powerofbelonging #inclusivity #diversity #equity #DEI
