The recent Australian federal budget announcement is a major boost for small businesses, the education sector, and startups. As CEO of Ticketless Parking, a NED at Jeddle, and an investor in innovative startups, I see great opportunities for strategic growth and innovation. With increased government investment in infrastructure, the parking industry is poised to embrace more efficient, technologically advanced solutions, advancing the mission of #ticketlessparking. Meanwhile, the increased support for education will empower companies like #jeddle to further integrate technology and learning, propelling us towards a future where innovation is at the core of education. This budget resonates deeply with my belief in the power of vision, strategy, and execution to drive growth. Let us leverage these developments to push boundaries, innovate, and build a resilient future. #FederalBudget #GrowthStrategy #Education #Innovation #StartupInvesting #ParkingIndustry #jeddAI

It is a good initiative but it is also well known how difficult to grow innovative businesses in Australia. $400M is great but the culture is not there. There is no right people. If I have lots of money I will invest in a Sydney house, run a skin care shop or milk bar, even a coffee truck. Can Sydney or Melbourne be San Francisco, Boston, Austin, Shenzhen, though we have many top universities? No, Australia parliament members also know it is better to buy a Sydney house rather than fund a start up with the latest innovations. It is because house can be sold to smart and rich new migrants, who are mostly successful middle age people coming to enjoy their fortune in Australian sunshines, not truly investing in new talented innovations. All money goes to fat home loans. Where is innovation or manufacturing coming from? Still China, probably. Exporting wines, lobsters, iron, barley to China will make Australia great again, yeah, by the way, there might be some innovations if government has more money, many $400M.

🎉 Exciting Announcement! 🎉 I am thrilled to share that I have been awarded Stage 2 of The Norman Esch Awards Intake 25 for my project EV-Mob! 🚀 The Norman Esch Awards, facilitated by the Centre of Engineering Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Toronto Metropolitan University, provide invaluable support and resources to students in the Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Sciences to explore Entrepreneurial Ventures. Despite being away on vacation during the announcement, the recognition and support from the Esch Awards and the opportunity to incubate at Innovation Boost Zone are instrumental in advancing my business idea within the vibrant Toronto startup ecosystem. This achievement marks a significant milestone in our journey towards revolutionizing urban electric vehicle charging with EV-Mob. Despite the brief gap between Stage 2 and Stage 3, we have remained dedicated to advancing our Innovative Business Model with EV-Mob and I am eager to share the Strategic Pivot we've been working on in subsequent updates, which promises to Elevate EV-Mob to new heights of success. The experience gained through thorough market research during this stage has been invaluable. It has provided deeper insights into market needs, guiding our resource allocation and strengthening our business model. As International Graduate students managing multiple commitments, we are optimizing our Time, Funding, and Market validation efforts to drive Innovation and create Impact. #NormanEschAwards #EVmob #Innovation #Entrepreneurship #Sustainability #TorontoStartupScene #EVs #funding #Grants #strategy #marketvalidation #marketresearch #startupecosystem #motivation

Head of Startup-Services and Deputy Head of Founder-Services at Austrian Federal Economic Chamber | StartupNOW & Gründerservice
The new "EY Startup-Barometer Österreich 2023" is out. Summa summarum: Despite facing very tough conditions, we have seen remarkable resilience and growth in the past year by Austrian startups. 🚀 Austria's Startup Landscape: Resilient and Growing Despite Challenges 🇦🇹 A good startup year in #Austria despite difficult economic conditions with one bitter pill: fewer growth funding rounds. #Record-Breaking Financing Rounds: We have hit a new high with a 22% increase in financing rounds compared to 2022, jumping from 151 to 184 rounds. #Shift in Financing Volume: Although the overall financing volume decreased to €695 million from €1 billion, it is still an impressive achievement, marking the highest sum outside the exceptional past two years. #Sustainability Gains Traction: Investors are increasingly focusing on sustainability, with one in every four euros invested in this sector. #Diverse Financing Landscape: There has been a noticeable shift towards more financing rounds under €10 million, while larger growth rounds have seen a decline. #Back to Basics: The average financing volume has returned to its pre-boom level, signaling a stabilization in the market. #Sector Spotlight: The software and technology sector led the way with the most financing rounds. #Vienna's Leading Role: Once again, Vienna stands out in both investment volume and deal count. Graz & Linz come second and third. #Top Funded Startups: Big shoutout to GROPYUS, GoStudent, and myflexbox for securing the largest financing rounds. Special thanks to Florian Haas for contributing these insights to the ecosystem! 2024 is going to be a tough year again, however, we will face it together founders of Austria. ✌ #wkostartupnow #StartupLandscapeAustria Dealroom.co
