It’s a new year and, possibly, a new me! I’ve never felt more hopeful in my job hunt as I do now. As it’s a new new year it’s only right to have resolutions for it and here are some of mine. 1) Practice a healthier lifestyle: Go to the gym more and eat less take out. Give me some more of those endorphins! 2) Gain more connections: Whether it be business or personal, the people around you can help you in ways you least expect. 3) Land a salaried job in the game industry: A big one and one I strive for everyday. 4) Learn more: Not exactly a new resolution but one can never stop learning. From a someone green to a job to an industry veteran, there’s always more learn about! So here’s to a fruitful and exciting new year!

A list of places I attended class and did schoolwork over the past 2.5 years: - In the car on trips - Friends couches - On planes - During my commute - At bars - Out to dinner - At a bachelorette - Other states - Different countries - In the depths of grief - At my full-time job (sorry, team!) Getting my MBA was hard, and all-consuming, but it's already proven to be worth it. I learned to think critically about business, understand big picture strategy, and grow my skillset to better serve my colleagues and clients. At the core of the curriculum was a common theme: Be a good person. Have empathy. Uplift others. Make the world a better place. Here's to the next chapter of trying to do that.

If you find yourself unsure of what decision to make, this experiment will help. Schrödingers cat. A cat was placed inside a box with a radioactive substance, a vial of poison and a hammer. When the substance decays it releases the hammer that smashes the vial, which kills the cat. Thing is, you have absolutely no idea when that radiation is going to decay, so the cat is both dead and alive. The ONLY way to know for certain if the cat is dead or alive is to open the box and look inside. You’re thinking of a big life changing decision right now. Quit your job. Go back to uni. Travel. Start a business. Have a child. Move abroad. Whatever it is, you are stuck. Over thinking every possible outcome to the point you don’t act on it. It will be fine VS it wont be fine. Like the cat, both realities are correct. It might work out, it might not. The only way you will know for certain that it worked out, is by doing it. Open the box. Its the only way you will ever know
