🙋♀️Raise your hand if you are ALSO missing your late night shows!? The Hollywood Writer’s Strike is doing more than just messing up my Friday night plans…📺 While some may argue that the Hollywood Writer’s Strike is simply about fair compensation and working conditions….in the Age of Aquarius (marked by a heightened emphasis on social justice, diversity, and representation)….the strike itself takes on a broader significance, centered around the preservation of human-driven narratives that are ESSENTIAL for our collective well-being, and cultural identity. Lots to talk about here.. Check out my latest article in U.S. Business – link in the comments!

As we gather to celebrate Labor Day, a day dedicated to honoring the contributions of American workers, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the importance of your hard-earned legacy. As your estate planning lawyer, I understand the value of your dedication and the wealth you've amassed over the years through your diligent work. Labor Day reminds us of the power of commitment, perseverance, and the dreams we work tirelessly to achieve. Just as you've dedicated your time and energy to building your career and financial stability, it's equally crucial to ensure that your efforts continue to benefit your loved ones for generations to come. Estate planning is not merely about managing your assets; it's about crafting a lasting legacy that reflects your values, protects your family, and supports the causes you hold dear. If you have any questions or would like to discuss your estate plan further, please do not hesitate to reach out. On this Labor Day, let us celebrate your achievements and take the necessary steps to secure your legacy. Interesting read. What are your thoughts?
Check out this article to understand my stance on corporations claiming to be progressive while undermining worker rights. These billionaires are using law firms to dismantle a 90-year-old labor law, which is unacceptable. The lawyers leading this attack from Morgan, Lewis are hypocrites, having previously served on the board or worked for the board. It's old-fashioned to value integrity and principle, but I believe it's crucial. I'm disheartened by those prioritizing wealth over people's livelihoods. I'd rather face hardships myself than contribute to harming others for personal gain, like buying a yacht or a summer home in France. Let's prioritize people over profit!

Last night, Black Door Law Associate, Scott Balloch, joined Wallace Chapman on Radio New Zealand’s, The Panel, to discuss the Government’s proposal to prevent contractors from challenging their employment status through the Courts. Given the rise of the ‘gig economy’ and changes to the way that we work (the use of technology and remote-working), perhaps it is time for Parliament to review the current framework. In the meanwhile, we will eagerly await the Court of Appeal’s decision on the employee/contractor decision in the Uber case. What do you think – is the current framework working? https://lnkd.in/gyqmbnVU
