Why do companies fail? It's easy to give quick, general answers, but it's pretty rare to get an honest post-mortem about someone else's mistakes and how you might avoid them. Especially for open source companies. If you join us this May at Open Source Founders Summit, Alexis Richardson will give you a peek inside what went wrong at Weaveworks, with concrete comparisons between what happened at Weaveworks and what happened at Isovalent — so that you can adjust course if necessary. Check out the full abstract here --> https://lnkd.in/eb4G8HSP And if you're an open source founder or in a leadership role at an open source company, request an invite here: https://lnkd.in/eQBM3yTi

Why Your Developer Relations Strategy Falls Short? 📉 Hey tech leaders, it's time for some real talk! 🧐 As a seasoned Developer Advocate, I've seen my fair share of DevRel strategies that miss the mark. Let's cut through the noise and address why some strategies just don't cut it. 💡 🚫 Common DevRel Blunders 🚫 1️⃣ Hollow Engagement: If your DevRel feels like a one-sided pitch, it's failing. Engagement should be a two-way street, not a monologue. 2️⃣ Feedback Blindness: Ignoring user feedback is a surefire way to alienate your developer community. They're your compass; listen to them! 3️⃣ Aimless Wandering: A DevRel strategy without clear objectives is like a ship adrift. Define your targets and steer the course. 4️⃣ Diversity Oversight: Neglecting diversity leads to missed opportunities and alienation. Embrace inclusivity for success. 5️⃣ Overpromising, Underdelivering: If you overhype and underdeliver, trust evaporates. Manage expectations realistically. 6️⃣ Stale Content: Static content is a deal-breaker. Keep your materials fresh and aligned with the times. 7️⃣ Empathy Deficiency: Developers have real struggles. Understand their pain points and show empathy. 8️⃣ Static Strategies: In the ever-evolving tech world, a rigid strategy is a death sentence. Be adaptable. 🔑 Unlocking Success 🔑 Listen Intently: Actively heed what your developer community says. It's gold. Use it to reshape your strategy. Authenticity Rules: Be genuine, forthright, and clear. Authenticity breeds trust. Set SMART Goals: Define Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound objectives for your DevRel. Diversity is Strength: Value diverse perspectives. It's the lifeblood of innovation. Underpromise, Overdeliver: Set achievable expectations and then exceed them. Surprise and delight. Stay Current: Keep your content and actions in sync with the ever-evolving tech landscape. Empathy Wins: Acknowledge and address developers' challenges with empathy. Adapt and Dominate: Agility is key. Embrace industry changes and trends. Let's talk about DevRel strategies that drive results. 🥑 Share your thoughts and experiences below. Time to level up! 🚀💪 #DevRel #TechStrategy #CommunityBuilding #AmyTalksTech

When it comes to Community and Marketing Ops, I'm your huckleberry. Community-Led Founder of MarketingOps.com and MO Pros® - the community for Marketing Operations Professionals
No lie - I'm pretty excited to see this event!! Wanna know why? As a proud former Mavenlink team member (twice, in fact!), I'm thrilled to extend a personal invitation to a webinar with a special place in my heart. 🚀 Sean Crafts and Jim Robertson, two pivotal figures in Mavenlink's incredible journey to a $100M NRR business with a successful exit, will be sharing their wisdom and insights. Having witnessed Mavenlink's growth firsthand, I can attest to the transformative power of effective annual planning and execution. Here are some of the insights I bet you'll hear from them: - What data was critical to building these plans? - Which teams were aligned to model forward? - How (what steps) did the team build these plans? - What ways can your company take action TODAY to do the same? 👉 Register Now to discover how to apply these lessons to your own business journey. https://lnkd.in/g_MPU3Ge As someone who witnesses many of Mavenlink's operational GTM tactics and plans, I can't emphasize enough how transformative these insights can be. #revops #annualplanning #marketingops #gtmstrategy

⛈️ Socialize AWS Costs to Infra, SRE, DevOps, Platform, and Engineering Teams with proactive reports via email, Slack, and Teams.
🥂 One thing that keeps us going at CloudForecast is celebrating the small wins and practicing gratitude. It's super easy to get bogged down in the daily challenges and setbacks of building and operating a startup. It often feels like you're pushing a boulder up a hill and making no progress. Through our experience at Perfect Audience and now at CloudForecast, I've found that success is built upon a series of small wins (with many setbacks in between) that may lead to a big win. It's important to recognize and remember those small wins. These can include pushing out a new feature, solving a complex technical challenge, or even a personal win! We have a #hurray channel in Slack where our team can post any wins, small or large, for ourselves or each other. The channel goes back about three years, so it's fun to see how far we've come when I scroll through it. How do you celebrate small wins or practice gratitude with your company or team?

Founder @ Arys - Helping organisations breathe new life into their revenue-generating strategies through partner channel & ecosystem augmentation
ESSE QUAM VIDERI Hi all! Quick 2-minute run-down of my first week proper! I wanted to share some insight, give some shout-outs, and make a couple of requests at weeks end. I'm happy to report that my first week was a success, and I'm grateful for the support and encouragement I received from my partners, peers, clients and family. I’m being firmly guided by my family's motto, "Esse Quam Videri” "To be, rather than to seem." It's a principle that I try to embody with everything I do, especially now with my work at Arys BY THE NUMBERS… 🔥 Have talked to x 3 more interested partners looking to come onboard with Arys 🔥 Passed 2 leads to current partners (one of the favourite parts of my job is being that unity-engine) 🔥 x 1 potential client in the pipeline That came about from a chat - it reminded me of how much opportunity can be hidden in simple conversation. THE COMMUNITY Also had some wonderful peer2peer conversations over the last week or so, which have been invaluable - 💥Jennifer Snyder 🎠 MBA 💥Bernhard Friedrichs 💥Jessie Shipman 💥James Fry 💥Jen Waltz 💃🏽📈 💥Patrick M. Ferdig I ❤️ the partner community TOOLS Have started using LI Sales Navigator, and am keen to hear of your experiences with it. Am still finding my feet, but would welcome hints/tips and whether it was useful for you. CALL OUT This is a call for all the great folk out there in the VC community. I’m looking to have a chat because I fully believe I can help you grow any assets looking to/that are using a Go-To-Eco motion via improved processes and optimisation. That’s it! I hope everyone has a great weekend, and next week is even busier, so shall keep you posted. Keep striving to "be" rather than to "seem." 🤝 #founderjourney #partnersmakemorepossible #unityincommunity

Anthony Enrico is one the smartest and most humble RevOps leaders we have met; he was part of the hypergrowth team at Emailage that was snapped up by LexisNexis as an acquisition. His tried and tested first-hand experiences both then and now are something that will benefit other RevOps peers -- we have asked him to share some of the critical "fails to avoid" that could derail your RevOps success and learn how to build a solid foundation for your RevOps organization that's built for scale. On the agenda: 1️⃣ Discover how inflexibility in RevOps can slow down your revenue process. 2️⃣ Understand the risks of not adapting to market and tech changes. 3️⃣ Gain insights into common user experience fails that hinder RevOps efficiency. 4️⃣ Study the pitfalls of not preparing your RevOps for growth. 5️⃣ Learn how to avoid the traps of over-complicated or underperforming RevOps tools. Our Rev Ops ambassador, Mark Lerner, will guide this conversation and make sure you come up with some very practical insights. We understand that 2024 is still being defined by the forward-thinkers -- this is going to be a great opportunity to shape that thinking.
