Congrats 👏👏 The product tackles the opportunity of helping customers progress in meeting their financial protection needs. The identified problem unfolds into three key areas. First, there is a focus on assisting customers in understanding their coverage and what they currently possess. Subsequently, the objective is to provide them with a clear awareness of their protection gap. Lastly, the product aims to inspire customers to take action in addressing any shortfalls in their protection. We asked the team about their personal highlight and if there was an aha-moment during their process? "We came to realize customers often do not know what insurance they own. They bought various insurance plans over time with multiple insurers. It's frustrating for them to be told they lack coverage when they can't validate their existing benefits. Helping customers understand their coverage is fundamental to them wanting more. We started telling customers what they have rather than what they don't have. The move helps develop trust and lets them discover benefits they did not know they had. We had a low point when stakeholders pushed back a proposal for intuitive insurance categorization because they had to develop and maintain the mapping for over 3,000 active plans. It took a lot of convincing before they finally accepted the proposal." Securing vessels against piracy with maritime insurance brokers. We partnered up with a maritime insurance broker to produce a powerful tool that manages and insures vessels amidst the risk of piracy and conflict. After in-depth research and discussion with with users, we got a clear idea of what data mattered most on their dashboard. Understanding the ‘how’ is also incredibly vital from a UX standpoint, and we heavily took into consideration the way in which they wanted to interact with key metrics. We also restyled the component library to allow for a low-code platform, capable of shipping new features quicker.
