94% of sales organizations plan to consolidate their tech stack within the next 12 months. 66% of sales reps say they’re drowning in tools. This is according to Salesforce's State of Sales report (link in the comments). This can be good or bad news. It's good news if your reps and your organization are: - Multi-threaded and have engrained your solution in many departments. - Achieved adoption from the executive level through to the front line. - Created onboarding programs that achieve go-live with your clients. - Understand where your tool/platform fits in the bigger picture. - Helping clients to adopt your tech into their day-to-day. - Aligning your tool with a broader company goal. - Tracking and measuring against these goals. It's bad news if you aren't achieving these things. If you haven't gotten to this level with your clients then your renewal is at risk. Of course, there are exceptions like tools that are required for regulatory compliance and the like, but most tech doesn't fall into this category. If your AEs, AMs, and CSMs are only talking about features and functionality and aren't dialing up to the bigger picture you are losing. If you aren't achieving product adoption broadly you are losing. But it doesn't need to be this way. You can solve this problem if you: - Align your GTM teams on messaging. - Invest in coaching and training. - Listen to calls. - Coach. There is a way to address it, you just have to be willing to put in the work. #coaching #sales #churn
