Discounting is crushing your sales cycle. Sales is complicated enough -- multiple SKUs, add-ons, SSO, volume tiers, etc. Discounting is just another variable that creates friction for your buyers. Is this a good enough discount? What happens if I wait till next month? What's my discount at renewal? Why did my friend get a larger discount? If buyers know your price is negotiable, what are they going to do? Negotiate. The data backs it up. Across Vendr's dataset, the negotiate step accounts for 35 days of the sales process. This is unnecessary.
