👎 Unfortunate Friday Facts Alert 👎 Coming off the US Men's National Team 2-1 loss to Panama last night, followed by an even more painful US Presidential debate, let's just say it was a summer night to forget. Here are some more not-so-fun facts on the Women's Sports landscape in America. 👎 Girls face 1.3M fewer opportunities in high school sports than boys.   🤦♂️ 65% of female athletes report experiencing sexism in sports. Just 10% claim to have reported it.  🤯 In the U.S. just 30% of parents believe playing sports is very important for their daughters, compared with 41% of parents for their sons.  ❌ Just four of the 14 NWSL teams have female head coaches–it’s only 2 of 12 in the UK’s WSL. 😡 56% of female players have booked a pitch, only for it to be reallocated to a men’s team–3x more often than on the men’s side. 🙈 40% of fans claim the lack of women’s sports media coverage inhibits their fandom (just 15% in the US)– a full one-third don’t watch sports in bars for fear of being harrassed. 😯 There are only 4 female soccer federation presidents out of the 47 nations represented at the most recent men's and women's World Cups. Together, we have the power to change the game. Investing in women's sports is not only a great idea, it's great for business. Investing in storytelling platforms that prop up female athletes, clubs, leagues, fans and creators drives audience engagement -- which broadcast and sponsor dollars follow. More investment in women's sports creates player opportunities (at all levels) and career pathways necessary to reverse the sad, sad facts above. Footballco and our women's soccer brand, INDIVISA, are committed to doing our part to prop up the thousands of incredible storylines that are guaranteed to fuel meaningful change in women's sports. Thank you Kayleigh Barber and Digiday for reporting on our value in the almighty Women's Sports food chain, along with our like-minded competitors at Just Women's Sports, The Athletic, Vox Media and Gannett | USA TODAY NETWORK. Support the bold storytellers in Women's Sports and watch the magic follow. Let's go! ⚽ ⚡ #womenssports #womenssoccer #sportsmarkeing #changethegame

Love the love. Change happens when men get behind the importance of women’s sports. We are all in it together and want to see the same opportunities for young women and athletes of all ages and abilities.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

LOVE this Jason Wagenheim

As a father of two amazing daughters/high school athletes - thanks Jason for putting a spotlight on the challenges many of these athletes face and the need for continued change.
