Head of Product | Search NLP, Personalization, Generative AI | Advisory Board | Ph.D. in Strategy and innovation
Great inspiring panel at World Economic Forum at Davos Some of the highlights: 1- Future Vision: LLM might be saturated, but there are huge opportunities around other foundational models that are better at being objective-oriented, and understanding cause and effect to better understand the physical world. 2. Benchmarking AGI: Benchmarking AI against biological intelligence might not be the right goal. Instead, what we are probably building is a new form of intelligence. We created a plane to be able to fly but we did not create a new bird! 3. Need for Open Source: The speakers all agreed on the need for open source in AI development. Having only a few companies with significant power can create economic inequalities and limit innovation driven by professors, entrepreneurs, and others. 4. Promoting Access and Education: The importance of promoting global and inclusive access will help us in reducing bias. Educating the new generation of the workforce will be vital for the digital economies. This is a fascinating discussion and summarizes well the questions and opportunities lying in front of us! #davos #ai
