Take a read on Nichole's experience and what inspires her!💫 What do you enjoy most being a creator at Wonderkind? I enjoy being a creator at WK because of how unique and encouraging the work environment is. My coworkers are always so quick to jump in when I need help with creating a concept or shooting content. I am given the liberty to use my own creative discernment while also receiving constructive guidance to ensure I produce content the clients will adore. Another thing I love about this role is getting positive feedback from clients as we help their vision come to life. It is truly so fulfilling. How do you stay inspired / motivated? I stay inspired by constantly looking at content by other creators I admire. Whether it’s using the explore page on Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, or even looking at what my coworkers are creating, it feels like there is an endless disposal of inspiration around me. If I ever feel like I’m in a creative rut, I love to return to a brand’s original brand guide to remind myself of their vision and get my creative juices flowing! What is an emerging trend or development that excites you in the CPG industry? The holistic health movement that has emerged recently! As someone who is passionate about total body wellness, it is so inspiring to see brands start to be more transparent and intentional about what ingredients they use and highlight this on their social media. It is so encouraging to see that brands are taking an opportunity to educate their consumers through their content. What skills do you think make you the most efficient and successful as a creator? I think time management and adaptability are the two most important aspects to be successful within this role. While the creative side of this role is obviously important, being able to manage and create an efficient schedule is crucial. Creators at WK are given a great deal of freedom when it comes to their creative production schedule each month meaning that the responsibility is largely on them to deliver their content on time. I love this aspect of WK because it requires every creator to step up right from the get-go. Also, being able to adapt to certain client’s requests is very important in this role. Having the ability to separate your own style and preferences from those of a client is the mark of a great creator in my opinion! #cpg #contentcreation #marketingagency

Reflecting on the journey of bringing Bespokebroll to life continues to be a fascinating exploration of the creative process. Here's a quick look into some of our initial steps that took this uniquely New Zealand stock footage business from an idea to a soon to be revealed as fully formed online offering. 1. **Idea Incubation**: It all began with the seed of an idea. We allowed it to simmer, conducting market research to understand the demand for New Zealand-specific stock footage. This initial phase was crucial for refining our concept. 2. **Team Collaboration**: Creativity thrived through collaboration. We assembled a diverse team, including filmmakers, photographers, and creative minds. Their unique perspectives contributed to a richer pool of ideas and approaches. 3. **Content Creation**: The heart of our endeavor lay in content creation. We embarked on extensive location scouting, scriptwriting, and storyboarding to ensure our footage would encapsulate the essence of New Zealand. 4. **Technical Excellence**: Achieving technical perfection was non-negotiable. Our production team delved into top camera tech, drone gear, and post-production techs to ensure every frame met your high standards. 5. **Feedback Loops**: We actively sought feedback from peers and industry experts. This iterative process refined our work, pushing it closer to our vision with each iteration. 6. **Market Research**: We monitored market trends and customer feedback. Adapting to changing demands allowed us to appeal to a New Zealand audience. This journey is no where near finished, as we finalize a pleatera of finishing touches over the next months with the help of the Backbone Marketing team and the Bespoke content partners. However it continues to teach me that creativity is not a linear process but a dynamic, evolving force. It requires dedication, resilience, and a commitment to quality. Just saw a video on #tiktok where a very concerned Creative Director was discussing the very real terror in Graphic Designers today, pertaining to the lack of jobs and opportunity. Corporations requiring BA's, low-balling candidates, and lopping in countless other job responsibilities that stretch beyond design. I have no interest in being a LinkedIn influencer. I will though, say this: Any organization that is prioritizing a college degree instead of prioritizing the quality of work a portfolio displays through lived, professional experience should reconsider. The value of a designer is not in their schooling, it's in their ability to bring a brands vision to life – and their drive to continue to learn, grow, and evolve with ever-changing trends. WHY WORK HARD WHEN YOU CAN WORK SMART Throughout my life, I’ve been surrounded by the mantra “work hard.” It was the echo in every room, the unspoken rule of success. But it wasn’t until I shifted from working hard to working smart that I truly began to see a transformation in my endeavors. The results started pouring in, more tangible and rewarding than ever before. My journey began in the bustling corridors of a 5-star hotel, where my days stretched from 8 AM to 7 PM. Despite the grueling hours, my savings remained stagnant. It was only when I embraced technology that the tides began to turn. Five months into my tech education, I found myself without a job, dismissed for seeking new opportunities online using company resources. At that moment, I feared the worst, but little did I know, it was the start of something extraordinary. I dove headfirst into learning, turning to YouTube as my classroom. Over the course of one and a half years, I mastered an array of skills: Python programming, UI/UX design with Figma, SEO, digital marketing, and the art of 3D character modeling and animation with Blender. Then, like a bolt from the blue, I landed my first remote gig in character animation rigging. The payment for this single job equaled a month’s salary at the hotel. It was the spark that reignited my passion for life. From that point on, my story took a meteoric rise. Today, I stand at the helm of my own agency, leading a team of over 20 talented individuals. Our expertise spans across 3D character modeling and animation, digital marketing, software development, and more. We’re not just a team; we’re a force to be reckoned with in the digital realm. In short, I’ve traded the endless grind for a life of fulfillment. My narrative is no longer about the hours spent working; it’s about the lives we touch and the dreams we bring to life through our digital artistry.
